Very welcoming and knowledgeable hostess, who answered our questions about the area and Japan. It was lovely to have this direct contact. Meals were ver good! Pleasant way to meet other travellers around a shared table. Our room did not have solid door, so when the hall light came on at night, it was very noticeable in our room.

Naomi and her husband are wonderful persons. The room was very nice and mixed ryokan with modernity. The meal was very good (could be more caloric for hikers). Very satisfied.

The couple that runs Guesthouse SORA are just lovely people - I really felt welcomed and taken care of. They were interesting to talk to and very informative about the Kumano Kodo.

Our stay here was a highlight of our trip. The hosts are just lovely, the room was lovely with comfortable bedding. The home cooked meal was outstanding- nothing to fault ….a great place to stay.

Review: Welcoming hosts with a lovely house they shared with us

Naomi and her husband were so welcoming and so keen to assist us with our onward journey. They prepared lovely home cooked meals and we felt part of the family! Luckily the place can be found on google as we didn't see any signage from the trail.

Review: Warm host and great food

The clean and spacious room was a great welcome after a day of hiking. Naomi San and her husband also prepared us the e-bike for us to bike to the supermarket. Nice town, serene town, wish we could have more time to cycle and look around the town. The dinner was great. There were 2 different couples together with us and we had great conversation with the hosts and the guests. Great evening and delicious home cooked meals.

Best accomodation that we did on the kumano kodo! Naomi and her husband were friendly, welcoming and agreable. Room very quiet and clean. The food was absolutely amazing! An unforgettable experience!
