"Hire-san" and his wife were WONDERFUL hosts and the meals were perhaps one of the highlights of our trip! Wonderful blend of tastes in numerous special dishes. We were asked on arrival what time we wanted our bath -- and a cover was put over it, to keep it piping hot, at our convenience. One of the best baths! It did not bother us at all to have an "old-fashioned" toilet system.
