Hongu, Rental Guesthouse with Good Access
Gesshinan is a relaxing rental house in Hongu Village at the foot of Mt. Dainichi near the Dainichi-goe trailhead. It is located just a 10-minute walk from Kumano Hongu Taisha Grand Shrine and very close to Oyunohara. Gesshinan is a simple, pleasant house that features a small reading room. Perfect for Kumano Kodo Nakahechi hikers and those wishing to spend multiple days in the area.
NOTE: The house is on the sacred Mt. Dainichi used by Kumano Hongu Taisha for rituals. Spiders and insects are a common sight depending on the season. Guests who are uncomfortable with insects should keep this in mind.
Smoking is strictly prohibited.
We are sorry, but guests who smoke or who are smokers (regardless of whether or not they intend to smoke in Hongu) are not permitted to book this accommodation. Children under 12 are also not accepted to stay at this accommodation.
