Relaxing Nakahechi Guest House

GUEST HOUSE KUMANOYASAI is a cozy, private rental house in Kawai, Nakahechi relatively close to Takahara by bus or 40 minutes on foot.

The owner, who moved from Tokyo to enjoy the nature and quiet of Kumano, was drawn to the peaceful location. As the house is located on a hill surrounded by nature, guests can enjoy a quiet, relaxing stay.

The owner provides healthy homemade meals using locally grown produce.

An option is to have breakfast at the owner’s KUMANOYASAI café in Chikatsuyu, which includes delicious bagels made with natural yeast, a popular menu item.

A “no meals” plan is also available, but please consider the healthy, tasty breakfast option.

Because GUEST HOUSE KUMANOYASAI is limited to one group per day, it is perfect for small, private groups.

・~50 minutes by Ryujin Bus from JR Kii-Tanabe Station, get off at Kodo-no-Sato bus stop and walk back the opposite direction for about 1 minute. (Ryujin Bus timetable in English, page 1)

・~80 minutes by Ryujin Bus from Hongu, get off at Kodo-no-sato bus stop and walk ahead 1 minute. (Ryujin Bus timetable in English, page 2)

Walking from the Takahara area

It takes about 25 minutes on foot from the Takahara Viewpoint to the Kurisugawa bus stop, and about 15 minutes on foot from the Kurisugawa bus stop to the accommodation.

By car

・~50 minutes from Hanwa Expressway Nanki Tanabe IC (Tanabe City) or Kisei Expressway Kamitonda IC via Route 311.

・~40 minutes westbound from Kumano Hongu Taisha via Route 311.

Shuttle Service: Optional shuttle service to breakfast between 7:30 and 8:00 at Kumanoyasai Cafe.
