After a eight-hour walking in the rain, Hiyodori provided a warm, friendly and homey place for rest. Six of us from different countries were chatting in the living room while the hosts were busy preparing dinner in the kitchen. Thank you so much for all the hard work this couple put in, you guys are awesome!

お世話になりました。
熊野古道沿いに立地する便利で、味のある外観のGuest Houseでした。 オーナーご夫婦の家庭的な食事や雰囲気、同じテーブルを囲みながら外国の方とそれぞれの国についてお話できたのも、楽しかったです。 早朝出発にも、こころよく対応いただき、本宮大社にも時間通り着くことができました。 ありがとうございました。

アットホームな空間でした
立地と、過去に「ひととき」に宿泊した方のレビューを見て予約しましたが、ゲストハウスにリニューアルしていて驚きました。人見知りなのと、もともと単独行動が好きなので、宿泊された方とのコミュニケーションを自分からとることはしませんでしたが、オーナーさんはじめ宿泊された方々が、海外からの方にも積極的に話しかけていて密かにすごいなと思っていました。オーナーさんご夫妻の熊野古道愛も伝わってきて、おすすめのコースなどもいろいろ教えていただきありがとうございました。

Nice stay after long hike
The accommodation is walkable (used Google maps) and was along the trail we hiked on Kumano Kodo. The location is actually pretty good in that you can either continue your hike on foot or walk (20-30 min walk) to the bus stop to take you to your next Kumano Kodo destination. It's a nice place - small but cozy and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were delicious, and host was extremely nice and accommodating. We had questions about transportations, and she personally called taxi companies and inquired for us. We really enjoyed our stay at Guest House Hiyodori and would recommend.
