Nanki Marine Leisure Service can only accept reservations 1 month or less in advance.
Whales are wild animals living in the sea and occasionally no-sighting days occur. Please understand the tour fee cannot be refunded in that case.

Schedule
March to September
Pick-up at accommodation in Katsuura (we will inform you the time when booking, usually around or just after 5:00)
5:30 Meet at departure point
6:00 Start boat trip
~10:00 Return to the port
The trip is usually 3.5 ~4 hours long depending on ocean conditions.
Guest Conditions
Minimum of 3 passengers.
Maximum of 24 passengers.
People can join this tour individually, but there is 3 passengers minimum to run the tour.
Children need to be able to sit on their own, and are required to be accompanied by an adult.
Usually the minimum age is 3. Please let us know the age of children when booking.
Clothes, etc.
Please dress accordingly including.
● Wind-breaking jacket
● Small towel
● Easy to move in clothes
● Running shoes
● Sunscreen
● Hat
● Motion sickness medication (if prone to motion sickness)
NOTE: Rain jackets and life jackets are supplied.
Cancellations Because of Weather & Ocean Conditions
The ocean is unpredictable. Therefore tours may be cancelled if conditions are bad.
Even if the weather is fine the waves may be high and violent because of storms far out on the Pacific Ocean.
You will be contacted at the accommodation the morning of the tour if the tour is cancelled.
We apologize for any inconvenience as it is not possible to know 100% the conditions of the ocean until near departure time.

The departure point is located in a fishing port 5 minutes walk from the JR Ugui station near Katsuura.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
There is free pick-up service available at accommodations in Katsuura. This is the best and easiest way to get to the departure area.
Transportation after the tour is the responsibility of the guests.
