Visit the resort town of Shirahama by car with a local guide is an efficient way to explore one of the three oldest hot springs in Japan. Shirahama Town is well-known as one of the best resorts in the Kansai region, but also a historical treasure visited more than 1,000 years ago by previous emperors. Visit Shirarahama Beach, a "Sister Beach" to Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. Then visit such geological coastal wonders as the layered sandstone rocks of Senjojiki, the 50-60 meters high and two kilometers long Sandanbeki Rock Cliffs, and the unique, sea-eroded circular coastal obelisk of Engetsu Islet. This tour is convenient by car providing great Pacific Coast views and highlights of Shirahama Town.
