Description
This luggage shuttle service is a convenient way to send your luggage from Tanabe to your accommodation in Takijiri or Takahara so you do not need to carry your bags onto the local bus.
● From Tanabe accommodation\JR Kii-Tanabe station to Takijiri/Takahara accommodation.
This price plan is often used by pilgrims who are walking from Takijiri-oji to Takahara. Takijiri-oji is a 40 minute local bus ride from Kii-Tanabe station.
Takijiri-oji is the spiritual entrance to the sacred Kumano Mountains and the start of the UNESCO World Heritage registered Nakahechi section of the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route. This is a popular place to start walking.
Takahara is a ridge top settlement with beautiful panoramic views.

Pick-up Location and Times
Luggage pick-up is available at 7:45 or 12:15. Other pick-up times can be arranged. 
Possible pick-up locations:
● Tanabe Tourist Information Center next to the JR Kii-Tanabe station.
● Tanabe Accommodation
>IMPORTANT NOTE: Tanabe Tourist Information Center does not run this luggage shuttle service, but rather another service provider.
This center is only a meeting point for you and the luggage shuttle staff.
Please do NOT give your luggage to Tanabe Tourist Information Cente Staff, but DIRECTLY to the luggage shuttle staff.
For pick-up at Tanabe Tourist Information Center, a SET TIME needs to be organized, and kept.
Please choose the meeting time when making the reservation request.
If there are changes to this time, please inform us as soon as possible.
