Are you interested in trying the taste of the Kumano mountains? If so this is the perfect option.

With a lunch box you can eat where and when you like adding freedom to your visit. This lunch box is very popular with walkers on the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route.

Another very convenient service is that it can be delivered to your accommodation in the Hongu area. For example, if you are staying in Hongu in Yunomine Onsen or Kawayu Onsen, and then planning to walk the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route "Hosshinmon-oji to Kumano Hongu Taisha" section, you can get this lunch box delivered to your accommodation that morning.

This lunch box can be delivered between 7:30~13:00 to accommodations in the Hongu area (Kawayu Onsen, Yunomine Onsen, Watarase Onsen, Hongu village) booked ONLY via the KUMANO TRAVEL Community Reservation System in order to prevent problems.

※ At times, delivery is unavailable, in this case we ask that you pick up your lunch box at Minshuku Omuraya in Kawayu Onsen.

This lunch box can be delivered between 7:30-13:00 to accommodations in the Hongu area.

Note: At times, delivery is unavailable, in this case we ask that you pick up your lunch box at Minshuku Omuraya in Kawayu Onsen.

Lunch Box Contents

● Four Onigiri rice balls
- Mehari-zushi (rice wrapped in a pickled mustard leaf, a local specialty)
- Inari-zushi (rice wrapped in fried tofu that is cooked in sweet-soy sauce)
- Ancient wild rice
- Rice with Shiso, a member of the mint family

● Seasonal side-dishes focusing on local vegetables, including wild plants.

● Able to cater to vegetarians and/or guests with food allergies on request. Please let us know details of what you cannot eat in advance.

● Gluten free lunch boxes are different ingredients which included stir-fried vegetables.
