食事は地元の旬の食材をふんだんに使用し、「地産地消」をモットーにしています。
ベジタリアンやその他の食事制限にも柔軟に対応し、皆さまに安心してお楽しみいただけます。

The hosts were very friendly, took me to the Onsen daily, and prepared some pretty amazing food. I think I gained weight in Japan due to them :). Do get Google Map uploaded before you walk to Hongu as you might get lost walking form the end of the trail to Ukegawa. Extra bonus if you love dogs as they have a very cute Poodle.

Lovely stay at Bond

We stayed for 1 night at Bond, a guesthouse run by a lovely couple. Although English communication was very limited, the hosts made us feel very welcome in their house. The room is spacious and comfortable. The hosts drove us to the local onsen and we had some nice (Google Translate-supported) chats about our travels. But the best part of our stay was the food: after a long hiking day we received a delicious meal; and the next day an equally delicious breakfast and lunch box. Our vegan and glutenfree preferences were perfectly taken care of. Would definitely recommend!

Good location and great hosts

The couple owning the place were very welcoming and super friendly. The food was delicious and the room very comfortable.

The best part of our trip

Althouhh we were unable to do the trails we have planned for on the day we stayed at Bond, due to the weather conditions (Typhoon), the family cares for each and every detail to make it as smooth as possible. The house in itself is very comfy. The bed, the room is ultra spacious. The toilet is very convenient. The food is a separate chapter! They are incredibly prepared to welcome all kinds of restrictions in a very generous and delicioussss way. Everybody in the family is extremely friendly and receptive. It was the highlight of our trip, for sure!!!!

Mixed Review

The food was excellent and the hosts are very friendly and superb. The guest room did not have attached bathroom. However, if food is priority, highly recommended. Was not close to the trek trail.

wonderful stay

single female traveller, stayed in mid-May 2025. Had a wonderful stay at BOND. Owners are a very kind couple who recently expanded their longstanding bento-box business to include a homestay. Guests stay in a room in their home, shower and bathroom shared with owner. Their home is located close to Hongu/in Ugekawa however they are able to pick you up at either Hongu or Yunomine Onsen. They offered to take me to public onsen when I arrived but I had already done the Tsuboyu onsen so didn't need to go, but is an option. Food was delicious. They have a small very cute dog who is still getting used to guests- if you don't like dogs, this was not a problem as owners made sure you had your space. I had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend!

Excellent guesthouse experience with delicious food!

My friend and I loved our stay at Bond. Not only was the room comfortable, but our hosts also took us to the nearby onsen to bathe after our long day hiking, which was heavenly. They served us the most delicious meal, which was additionally gluten free (so appreciated because my friend has celiac!). Our hosts were so kind and accommodating, even helping us with a ride to a nearby town when we missed our bus. I would absolutely recommend staying here!!

Very nice experience

The hosts of BOND are a very cute couple with their dog. They were very welcoming (except the dog, he needed time to adjust to me ;)). The food they cooked was absolutely amazing. While there is no guest bathroom, they took me to an Onsen in the evening, where I could relax and wash myself. After a full day of walking, this was the perfect way to end the day. Overall, I highly recommend this place!
