Hola. Mis padres y yo estamos contentos con cómo fue todo pero hubo un alojamiento que no nos gustó nada. Había muy poca comida y la poca bebida que había la teníamos que pagar aparte, por lo que no creo que sea justo después de pagar el paquete. Aparte de eso, tampoco había ningún tipo de herramienta de higiene como cepillos, cuchilla de afeitar, peines ni nada. Y el trato tampoco fue amable como en el resto de los alojamientos. Ese día no estuvimos a gusto. El resto nos encantó. Un saludo.

Kumano 5 day trip
So well organised. From the information pack collection in kii -Tanabe to our hotel in kii-Katsuurawe really didn't g he ace to think much beyond walking! The variety of accomodation was great - from friendly home stays to air b&b to nice hotel with k on sen and great food. We changed the itinerary for the last day, and instead of getting the bus to shingu and then Nachi Taisha, we caught the early bus to Koguchi and walked to Nachi Taisha: I think this is a better combination; although we never went to Hayatama Taisha at shingu ( we could have on our last morning..) finishing walking down into Nachi Taisha was a much better finish

We didn't receive bus pass in our package and tried to contact by email many times but no any response to help solve this problem.
The Kumano travel hiking arrangement, accommodation, meals and luggage shuttle were all excellent. Thank you very much. The only regret is that there was no bus pass in our package. We don't know how this mistake occurred. We contacted to Mayu staff on Nov.15 which the first day of the trip and totally sent three emails to ask help. But there was no any reply until the end of the trip. We express our deep regret for the bus pass problem and demand the compensation.

Excellent trek
We gave Kumano travel carte blanche and are very happy with the result. The documentation was excellent, our luggage always preceded our arrival and the accomodation was varied, ranging from good to superb. We especially liked our stay with Yumi at Oyado Sena. The food was plentiful and delicious. It was very nice to have a bus pass and not have to search for change whenever we rode a bus. Everything was smooth.

Wonderful and well organized trip
We enjoyed the perfect organisation of the accommodations, the luggage transport and the daily tours. In advance we had only little time to prepare the hike, so we were thankful for the bus schedules, maps, suggested short cuts and organised transportation e.a. from the Kumano Kodo Travel Agency. The communication with the travel agency was always friendly, with direct response and helpful solutions from start of booking until our last day of the trip. The agency’s assessments regarding the difficultly and duration of the trip were helpful for us and realistic. We enjoyed very much the encounter with our host on our second day and would have appreciated to have more of these personal moments. It‘s absolutely necessary to have map or internet navigation in order to find the accommodations because they are not all included in the maps.

Amazing experience. We want to do it again!
The whole experience was amazing! The whole journey is well planned and we received plenty of information to know what to expect. It can be a bit overwhelming to do the planning so it was great to have the option of the package, which included really good accommodation, food and luggage forwarding. The guided walk on the first day was also a good way to get started and get to know a bit more about the Kumano Kodo history and culture. It was also nice to be part of a group, to share this experience and to support each other throughout the journey. Thank you everyone at Kumano travel for organising this and to all the lovely hosts at Kumano Kodo.

Amazing experience!
Everything was incredible. I highly recommend the self-guided tour - it had plenty of detailed information to feel safe, informed and taken care of while being independent and having space to do what we wanted. We were very impressed with the hosts and guest houses/hotels. We loved the variety of accommodations and food and felt very welcome.

Experience of a life time
This was my second time doing the Kumano Kodo and i'm ready to do it again! This time i walked with my 10 year old daughter and other family members (group of 4). It was a life changing experience and the absolute highlight of our time in Japan. The organization provided by Kumano Travel was outstanding! Faultless experience. Can't recommend them enough- it made for a very easy booking experience. First time round i booked everything myself and this was a little more complicated. Luggage transfer 100% MUST do not even consider carrying it, there is no point! Accommodation was mostly excellent, food fantastic, trail conditions very well maintained.

Easily one of the best experiences of my life
This will be an experience I remember for the rest of my life and the team at Kumano Kodo were a key contributor. The route was peaceful at this time of year (right before busy season); on some days there were multiple hours where I was alone and saw no one else. Doing the self-guided tour was 100% worth it as I was able to do the hikes on my own schedule but choose when I wanted to interact with the larger group of 9 other people. The hotel accommodation was stellar along the whole way giving you the traditional Japanese experience. Having food sorted the entire way was very convenient, and every meal was delicious. The coordination of everything was perfect, including luggage drop off, bus schedules and the helpful hints and tips Mike gave us along the way. If you are doing the Kumano Kodo, I strongly recommend this option as it gives you the social aspect of a group but also allows you to go at your own pace if you wish. I believe I will do this route again at some point in my life.

We thoroughly enjoyed the package put together by Kumano Travel. While group tours are not what we were looking for, the balance of self-guided hiking/group stay was more than acceptable for us. We want to specifically mention Kasumi and Shu for being fantastic guides and exceptionally friendly. We really appreciated both showing up to the bus stop to explain the significance of the Kumano Hongu Taisha Matsuri and why we should not skip it. As a note for this particular package in the future -- we think it would go a long way with future clients to provide information on what "participation" in the festival means and why it is so important. We had initially planned to skip the festival and hike from Chikatsuyu to Yunomine when we saw Day 3 was just a bus ride. After speaking with Shu and Kasumi at the start of the trip, we understood it shouldn't be missed and did the hike the day after (free day). Additionally, we did not understand the "self-guided" tour to include a group and orientation, so we missed that on the first day. We think it would be useful to mention that it's self-guided, but there is a group linking people together overall. All-in-all we had a fantastic trip and really appreciate all the hard-work and thought that went into putting this together. Thank you!

These things were all excellent: - Pre-trip instructions and orientation at Kumano Travel - Guidebook, maps and information about buses - our Guide on first day, Keiko. - The walk itself Some accommodation was good, some was bad. Good: Kiri-no-Sato Takahara Lodge ""Organic Hotel", minshuku Chikatsuyu, Kawayu Midoria Bad: Koguchi Shizen-no-Ie , Hotel Urashima. Hotel Urashima was the worst. We really did not like it. So crowded with bus loads of tour groups. Limited options for dinner and breakfast, and restaurants were crowded and expensive. It was horrible, even though the cave onsen was good.

excellent organized hike
We had a great time at Kumono Kodo. We booked a Local Package Tour through the official website. Our guide Jennifer prepaired a detaild map for each day(inclouding all bus time schedules and the location of each bus stop). The first day was guidet through Jennifer and Hatsumi and they gave us a detaild description about culture and history of Komano Kodo. The accomadations were all lovely and authentic. moreover delicious food was served in each accomodation. In Japan i usually had problems to find vegetarian food but during these days all accomodations had delicious vegetarian food. I really appriciate that matter. overall we can warmly recommend to book through the official website.

Fantastic Trip
From start to end we had a great time. The briefing with Mike and the guides on the first day was really worthwhile. We managed the advanced walk to Hongu Taisha on day 3 and picked up our dual pilgrim certificates. The drumming ceremony at Hongu Taisha was very special. All the accommodation and meals were well organised and enjoyed by all in the group.

Wonderful experience with helpful knowledgeable multi lingual staff.
Orientation was very clear, staff helped us to adjust start of hike as we arrived early and had toured Tanabe the night before. We were doing the dual pilgrim and even though we were only doing the shorter hike 8 kilometre from Hosshinmon-oji to Hongu Tasha it took 3 hours so we had limited time at Hongu Taisha before catching bus to our ryokan. We would allow an additional day and also plan to take the boat to Hayatama Taisha.

Excellent pilgrimage.
We thoroughly enjoyed the 6 day Kumano Kodo pilgrimage experience, and would highly recommend it. We were met by Mike who provided a great welcome and quality advice on what could have been a complicated 5 days. He managed to answer everyone’s questions and in particular sorted out our rather complicated luggage arrangements! The hand over to Jennifer our half day guide was. smooth, and the afternoon walk and her induction into how to make the walk more of a pilgrimage and reflection time, was excellent and good fun. Trail info was easy to follow, accommodation was widely varied, always very welcoming and very immersive. (Quite literally in the Onsen’s) We were lucky to have a small group and made great friends whilst still having a surprising amount of peace and quiet during the walking. All the transport worked very well ( it is Japan of course!) and for us, dressing for dinner, collecting stamps and the boat ride all added to the main reason for coming, the peaceful walking/trekking. We would consider another trek/pilgrimage, and would certainly come direct to Kumano travel first.

Five wonderful days hiking the Kumano Kodo
We had a very informative and helpful introduction to the Kumano Kodo by our first day guide Mike. The organisation of the trip was perfect and we had wonderful experiences with the accommodation and food. Walking the Kumano Kodo in September was really nice: we had great weather (including the experience of rain and mist on the first day) were able to complete the walk without problems.

熊野古道英語版オフィシャルガイドの著者であり、一般社団法人田辺市熊野ツーリズムビューローのプロモーション事業部長として、世界に熊野古道を広める発信源ともなっているBrad Towlesさん、高野・熊野特区通訳案内士として20年熊野古道のプロフェッショナルガイドとして活躍中のカリスマガイドのMike Rohdesさん、この２人が講師となり、1泊2日でプロ通訳ガイドとなるためのトレーニングをフルに英語で受けることができるまたとない機会。1日目はStory TellingとSafetyに関して、理論とディスカッションなどを取り入れた深く思考を巡らす時間をとるといった座学。宿泊は野趣あふれる川湯温泉に浸かり、美味しい料理に舌鼓。2日目は実際に、熊野古道のハイライトとでもある発心門王子から熊野本宮大社へ向かう道を歩き、学んだことの実践演習となっており、理論・考察・実践から多角的に学び、理解し、感じることができる組み立て。どこを削っても学びがあり、かつ、ユーモアやジョークなどもふんだんに織り込まれた内容で、これ以上ないと言えるような英語ガイド研修である。二人の講師の熊野古道への深い愛情も伝わってくる。ガイド未経験の参加者であっても取り組める内容に落とし込んでくださり、丁寧に教えていただいた。しかも、ご自身が常にStudentであり続けるとおっしゃる姿も大切な教えである。感謝しかないようなありがたい研修であった。またこのような機会があれば、ぜひ繰り返し参加したい。

Awesome Kumano experience!
This 10-day Kumano adventure took us onto trails not commonly walked in a "typical" Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, along with sections of the more popular trails. We experienced a variety of activities along the way that opened our eyes (and other senses) to the local culture of the area, thereby deepening our experience. Accommodations and food were amazing, and our guide Mike Rhodes made it all come together with his knowledge, wit and caring attitude. Well organized and well executed; I highly recommend this tour!

Fire Festival Kumano Kodo Experience
This was an unforgettable experience, and well worth the price (though I paid more as the only male client). While the walking was not challenging, the focus was rather on the experience itself, just as was advertised. A wonderful combination of both physical, intellectual, and even (in my case, anyway) spiritual education, all of it made possible by Mike Rhodes, a leader in every sense of the word. Knowledgeable, articulate, caring, thoughtful, organized, and fun, I'd take any tour with Mike as a guide (and I wish there were more tours with him). Thanks for everything, Mike. (by the way, can someone tell me the etiquette on tips for guides? There is no mention of this in the description).

Fire Festival Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Experience 2020
I had previously done a solo pilgrimage of the Kumano Kodo, and received my "Dual" Certificate. This had only strengthened my desire to learn more of the culture, traditions, religions, customs and experiences of the area. I had also learned of Mike Rhodes and his vast knowledge of the area and history through the Kumano Kodo Planning Group. I saw this particular "Fire Festival Tour" offered by Kumano Travel, and knew that I had to sign up. The tour was every bit and more, than I had anticipated. Unfortunately, a few days into the tour, I contracted an infection, and felt that to be a responsible traveler, I should return home. I was so very sorry to leave. If the tour is offered another year, I may sign up again. It is an incredible experience, I highly recommend.

モニターツアー・世界遺産「熊野古道」と五感で味わう「梅」満喫バスツアー
手作り体験ツアーという感じがして充実感があった。石神梅林でのお弁当は、帰りの日であればお土産品として持って帰りたかったくらい「地元のおふくろの味」を感じた。また「白干うめ」を自宅で作る「梅干し用」として１年分買って帰ればよかった（宅配便を使って）と後から思った。（荷物になるし、厚かましいような気がして聞けなかったが）

語り部さんと歩くのがとても楽しかったです。熊野古道の歴史はもちろん、道端のお地蔵さんの由来・集落の今昔・草花の名前・現代の林業の問題まで、家族や友人と歩くのでは知り得ないお話をたくさん聞くことができました。 語り部さんは地域の宝ですね！ 今回のツアーで注文があるとすれば、途中の王子や神社でもう少しゆっくり足をとめてお参りできれば尚よかったです。でもその分、たくさん歩いて発心門王子まで行くことができました。 去年、発心門王子から本宮大社まで歩いたので、来年は滝尻から近露までのコースに参加し、道をつなぎたいと思います。ぜひまたツアーを企画してください！

・熊野古道を始めて歩く個人には最適 ① 語り部さんのガイドが受けられる。 ② 事故や歩けなくなったときなど万が一の時のサポートが受けられる。 ③ 歩くのが遅く、語り部さんについていくのが難しいときもあったが ゆっくり歩いてくれるスタッフさんがおり気遣いが感じられた。 ・スケジュール、集合場所 ① 田辺駅前は車寄せや駅前広場など改修工事が終わり、わかりやすい。 細かいことだが、集合場所はビューロー前と記載したほうが良いかも。 駅前はいくつかのツアーの集合場所と重なっており、他のツアーと間違えてしまう。（実際、初日に間違えました・・・） ② 県内からだと日帰りが可能なスケジュールで参加しやすい。 Ｄコース、Ｅコースに参加しぜひ本宮まで行きたいと思う。 秋だけでなく、春も同様のツアーを企画していただければ ぜひ参加したい。 初心者で、ご迷惑をおかけすることもありましたが 最後まで歩くことができました。とても気持ちよくうれしかったです。 ありがとうございました。 ・・・・ ツアー代金のお支払いには、可能であればネット決済だけでなく、振込みも可能にしていただければと思います。

バス内でのおしゃべり
旅行自体は大満足でしたが、目的地までの送迎のバス内で、あるグループのおしゃべりが声高で、休みたい人の邪魔になっていたと思います。ガイドの方から多少はトーンダウンをお願いをしていただいても良かったのではないか。

最後まで歩けるかなと思いながらも、健康のためにもと友達と参加させていただきました。 セラピストさんが無理なく歩けるペースで連れていって下さり、途中にストレッチをして後々の疲れを感じないようにしてくれました。 コースは自然に囲まれ、空気も景色もきれいでとても心が落ち着くところでした。 参加している方とも、一緒に歩いている間にお話しができるようになり、楽しむことができました。 ありがとうございました。

熊野古道中辺路ルート復興記念
大変楽しく、良い経験をしてきました。近日中に予定が合えばまた行きたいと家族で話合っています。 コースの途中では、膝に傷み等が起こり、苦労もしましたが、添乗員の方の適切な対処のおかげで、迅速な対処をしていただき、大事にならずに済んだようで感謝の言葉もありません。 疲労の方は軽い筋肉痛（大腿部に）は３日ほどありましたが、渡瀬温泉に入り、睡眠を取ると，日に日に軽減し、心地よい軽い疲労感に変わりました。

熊野古道 発心門から本宮大社
なんせ、ゆっくり歩く・・・っていうのが良かったです。 出発前のゆっくりストレッチ、途中途中のストレッチ。これもよかったです。歩き慣れていないギャルたちが「足が笑っている」と悲鳴を上げているときも、いち早くストレッチ・・。こういうのが、全体的なムードを柔らかく醸し出していて参加者に安心とゆったり感を与えているのかなぁと思いました。残念ながら残りの中辺路のコースは自分で歩いたので、中辺路ルートはしばらくは参加することはないと思いますが、大変よかったです。

ありがとうございました
先日は大変お世話になりました。投稿が遅くなり、申し訳ありません。盛り沢山でとても楽しい旅行でした♪不思議なもので、当日楽しいと思ったものと、何日か経って印象に残っているものが変わりました。今、しみじみと良かったなぁと思うのは石神梅林です。職場にみなべ町の梅農家の方がいるためか、これまでは「梅＝みなべ」でしたが、今回、濱田さんや石神会長のお話を伺って、真摯に生きている人達に出逢えたと感じ、手作り感あふれる素朴な石神梅林にまた行きたくなりました。石神母さん特製弁当を粗食とおっしゃっていましたが、この飽食の時代、大量生産ではないものに価値があると思っているので、私にとっては贅沢なランチでした。お花見と言えば、桜が一般的ですが、梅の木の下で、手作り弁当を食べながら談笑する家族連れの姿はとてもいいものでした。熊野古道はもちろん素敵なところですが、それ以外にも素敵なところがあると、田舎の良さ、田辺の良さがあふれた、このようなツアーを企画してくださって、田辺ファンとしては心から嬉しく、感謝の気持ちでいっぱいです。

少し物足りなかったかな？
今回は、ほとんどの行程が舗装道路で景色的にもそれほど癒されるものはなく、少し物足りなかったです。ただ、終了時間は早めで良かったと思います。

モニターとしての意見と感想
大阪出発での参加の場合は、ちょっと疲れる行程でした。勝浦辺りにもう１泊して、速玉大社と那智大社にもお参りしてから帰ると良いかなと思いました。移動時間が長くて疲れたこと以外は全体的に良いツアーでした。 うつぼは、身の部分はあっさりしていて、皮はぷりぷりしていておいしかったです。また食べたいと思いました。 継桜は折れていて残念でした。そのことと時間に余裕があったことから、１日目はもう少し観光できれば良かったと思います。物足りない感じがしました。 川湯温泉は肩こりによく効く、良い温泉でした。仙人風呂の時期にも行ってみたいです。 亀屋旅館の恵み薬膳は私には今ひとつ満足できない味でした。私は特に味にうるさいので、そういう人もいるという程度に受け取ってもらったらいいのですが。 古道ウォークは距離が適度でアップダウンも少なく、普段から山歩きをしない人でも歩ける程度だったので良かったです。ただ、警報がでない限りは歩くこと、雨対策はしっかりしておくこと、靴は必ずスニーカーかトレッキングシューズ以上のトレッキングに適したものにすることを明記しておいたほうが良いと思いました。整備された楽な登山道でも、雨のときは装備をしっかりしておかないとツライ行程になるのだなと認識しました。 雨のトレッキングの後の温泉はとても良かったです。ヨガも久しぶりにやって、やはり良いものだなと思いました。 ハーブ園は、これから規模を大きくされるのでしょうか？ 温室の花は綺麗で、ハーブが見ごろでないときも楽しめるのは良いですね。ただ、肝心のハーブが少ないです！普通のハーブ園は散策できるくらいの広さのところにもっとたくさん植えられているので、規模の小ささにかなりビックリしました。これから頑張って欲しいです。 色々書きましたが、楽しいツアーでした。更に良いツアーになることをお祈りしています。今回はモニターツアーに参加させていただき、ありがとうございました。

最高でした！ 大満足です！
モニターとはいえ、本当に5000円で良いの？？？と思う、いたでり尽くせりのツアーでした。スタッフの方もとても感じがよく、温泉、料理も最高でした。 道路がまったく混まなかったので、時間調整の為に寄ったお店も良かったです。 ただ、今後「ツアー」としてならば、帰りに「地元野菜果物やお土産」を安くで買えるお店によって頂けると、大変ありがたいです。 ヨガも気持ちよかったですが、こちらも早朝、外で（自由参加）行ってほしいです。 朝ヨガはスッキリして気持ちがよいので（＾＾） （雨なら旅館内に変更する等） こまめに休憩時間があるのもアラフォー以上女性には、助かりました。 熊野古道では大雨が降っていましたが、これも又貴重な体験でした。 心身洗われた後、本宮大社へお参りできたのも良かったです。 帰りのバスで、履物を貸して下さったこと、本当にありがたかったです。 このような気配りができる御社スタッフの方々は本当に素晴らしいと思います。 ぜひもう一度、田辺・熊野へ伺います！

お世話になりました。
和歌山の自然と、住んでいる方のやさしさを実感できました。 お食事もおいしかったし、熊野古道の神秘さを感じさせていただきました。 笛もほら貝の音色も忘れません。 大雨も滝修行をしたみたいで、癒されました。森のきれいな雨だからでしょう。 台風の被害からいち早く立ち直られますよう・・よい思い出ありがとうございました。

とても楽しく参加できました 海釣りの時の波が荒くて魚も釣れなかったのが残念でした。 竜神山で頂いたミカン？も～～～スッゴク美味しかったです。 「こびら」という小魚も美味しく頂いています。

満足でした！
お天気がよく、絶好のウォーキング日和に熊野古道を堪能することができました！美しい自然の中でゆったり歩くことができ、熊野が大好きになりました。また訪れたい！、そんな気持ちにさせてくれたツアーでした。

まけるな！！和歌山 応援隊
県の道普請（環境保全）ウォークにも参加させて戴き、今回は市の道普請に参加させて戴いた。熊野を訪問するたびごとに、Ｑ９で列挙する魅力にはたいへん満足している。都市部からの集客・購買力の確保・被災からの復旧状況のアナウンスなど、今回のツアーの目的は達成されたとは拝察しているが、道普請の触れ込みからして、さらなる上級向きの道普請の企画を期待している。地元業者への発注も、地域振興・中小企業の育成で必要ではあるが、倒木の処理・杭打ちなどで、細かい作業は、ボランティアの活用も有効ではないでしょうか。宿泊・食事・土産などで購買力は移転することになりますから。今回も初日の行程がもったいない感想です。もっと早いスタート時刻にして、作業をしてから入浴もできたのではないか、と。

思っていた以上の素晴らしいツアーでした。語り部さんや行者さん、熊野セラピストさんの解説を聞きながら、歴史と大自然の魅力あふれる熊野を旅できたこと。美しい夜空を眺めながら露天風呂に入り、美味しい郷土料理をお腹いっぱい頂けた、川湯温泉の素晴らしい宿に泊まれたこと。微々たる力ですが、熊野古道の道普請という貴重な機会に参加できたこと。スタッフの方々やドライバーさんの明るく親切な対応。言うことなしです。皆さまの熱意でもうすぐ熊野は復興を果たすでしょう。また訪れる日を楽しみにしています。お世話になり、ありがとうございました。
