概要

「ミシュランガイド和歌山2022」に掲載された「山伏そば拝庵」が運営する一棟貸しのお宿です。

山伏宿アジール（Guest House Asyl）は、熊野本宮大社にほど近い熊野古道、伏拝王子の傍にある一棟貸切のお宿です。

お客様に熊野の自然に抱かれ癒されてほしいという気持ちを込めて、ギリシャ語の「癒し」「聖域」を意味するアジールという名前にしました。

山伏の肩書きを持つ御主人は、修行を通じて、健康や環境保全に強く意識されたそうです。

熊野の自然に包まれながら心身を健やかに過ごしていただくために、wi-fiを取り外しました。
ハンモックのご利用や、雨の日には卓球もお楽しみいただけます。

お宿の敷地内には、「ミシュランガイド和歌山2022」に掲載された　こだわりの蕎麦店「山伏そば拝庵（おがみあん）」があります。

こだわりのお蕎麦を味わいながら、風、空、草花、鳥、虫と一体になって、ゆるりと流れる時間に身も心も開放しながらお過ごし下さい。

One of our most special stays/meals in Japan

Guesthouse Asyl was a truly singular experience. The meal Nakane prepared for us was one of the most memorable that we had in all of Japan. His restaurant is really lovely, and his homemade soba noodles deserving of their local fame! The view from our room was spectacular, and we had the whole guesthouse to ourselves. Because most people try to get all the way to Hongu in one day, Fushiogami (just a few miles short) is quiet and not overrun. We cannot recommend Guesthouse Asyl highly enough!

The best place to embrace the nature and mushroom.

It's a bit surprised for us to arrive there first because there's no one in the house and also couldn't find the house key from outside. Actually the house was not locked and you can find the key inside the room. We really enjoyed the soup soba for the dinner and the breakfast. The sunrise view was stunning when you're on your way to have breakfast.

Guesthouse Asyl was a unique stay in a stunning location, very convenient for our travel plans. We received a warm welcome from the Nakane family and enjoyed eating and chatting with them. We also loved having our own space ater staying in several shared spaces. We walked from Chikatsuyu and were glad to stop here, a few kilometers closer than Hongu. The views were some of the best of our trail, and we enjoyed staying in such a small community. The soba and soup were delicious. The guesthouse was large, and we loved the seating area with a view upstairs. The guesthouse, bathroom and dishes were not as clean as we found in other stays on the trip.

Un accueil chaleureux et très familial

Nous avons été très bien accueillis. Le logement est très spacieux et très bien situé sur la route de kumano Kodo. Nous n' avons manque de rien Le repas préparé par notre hôte était excellent et avec des produits de son exploitation. Nous avons eu la chance de faire la connaissance de sa famille. Encore merci pour cet accueil chaleureux.

Great stop on kumano kodo

Great location, close to fushiogami-oji, making it a perfect stop before hongu, shortening by a few kilometres the hike from chikatsuyu.

Remarkable experience.

Location is peaceful and away from the crowd. Enjoy the silence and the dark skies for the stars if prepared to walk abit further. The food from the land and hospitality of our host who is also our cook is exceptional. The dining experience itself is worth the stay. Five stars.

Very spacious living quarters with bedrooms upstairs (narrow stairs). Laundry was helpful. The house is a bit hard to find, and need shuttle service request to come from Hongu since public buses don't always stop in Fushiogami. Food was great, soba-based, mostly locally sourced and grown.

A truly local experience

The guesthouse is located in a tiny rural village. It was a whole house for just us. The stars were pretty at night. The food was beautifully prepared and seemed to be fresh from the host’s garden and mushroom farm. I highly recommend splitting the long walk to Hongu by staying a night here.

Great location at a quiet village along the trail, so we can split the 25 km hike into 2 days. Great soba meals. Great host, he informed us of a shortcut between the inn and the trail, then played a musical instrument as we departed.

Lovely night amongst the tea plantation

Fabulous night. Amazing fresh soba, food was amazing and you can see where most of it has been grown. Great short cut back to the Kumano Kodo path, very enjoyable night. Another great host!

Host with many talents

Mr. Nakane was so concerned about us as we were about 15 minutes past due our arrival time. He is a man of many talents in addition to creating some wonderful dishes for our meals. His soba shop is listed in the Michelin Guide, which says a lot. In addition to making his own soba, he also is a forester, mountain guide, wood carver, and carpenter, practicing to become a monk. We bought several of his woodworks. Looking at them brings back good memories of the time we spent there. This stay ranks up there with a few of the best places and memories we have of Japan.

Beautiful quiet location

We had a great stay here in Fushiogami. It is a beautiful and peaceful location just off the Kumano Kodo trail. It is only a few kilometers from Hongu, so it would be easy to bypass. I'm really glad we stopped here. The owner prepares delicious food at his small soba restaurant and was a great host. The guest house itself is large, simple, and comfortable. I liked the fact that we could enjoy the beauty of this place before arriving at Hongu Taisha and getting back to the busier towns.

Asyle

We highly recommend Guest House Asyle and a very good option to stay prior to busy Hongu and Yusamine Onsen. Food was fabulous. A little difficult to find and easier option is to take the sealed road left towards the temple before the tea rooms and Asyle is after the temple. Conk on departure was a nice send off

Fushiogami is kind of out of the way, but I didn't want to push myself to make it all the way to Hongu, so it was the perfect place to stay for me. Food was AMAZING, truly a one of a kind experience. Kind of rustic, but that was exactly the experience I was looking for. Cannot recommend staying here highly enough.

忘れがたい滞在になりました

心温まるお出迎え、ご主人の楽しいお話、大自然の中で身体に良いものだけを美味しくいただきました。特にお蕎麦や蕎麦がき、手作りの水出し茶が絶品でした。テレビもWi-Fiも無いお宿での滞在はいつもより五感が優れ、鳥のさえずりと朝日を浴びて目覚め、素敵な山の景色や新芽をつけた茶畑を見ながらコーヒーを飲んだひとときは忘れられません。リゾートホテルでは味わえない、ベツモノの極上リラックスが経験できました。環境を意識されたシャンプーや石鹸もすごく嬉しかったです。何もかも私たちにはほんとに十分でした。山伏さんとお聞きして、厳しくて敷居が高い感じかなぁと思っていましたが、最初のお電話からすごく話しやすくて一瞬で引き込まれました。美味しくてスペシャルな体験をありがとうございました。

全てが最高

テレビが有ると満点ですが、あの場所で宿泊出来たことはラッキーでした。特に拝庵としては最後の宿泊者ということで、感無量です。そばも噂通りとても美味しく頂きました。今回の道中で一番星がきれいに見えたお宿でした。久しぶりに天の川を見ましたよ。

A delightful cottage in the country and an interesting glimpse into an alternative life

I stayed here after walking for five days and was so delighted with the large, modern cottage, its wonderful mountain setting and views and meeting this lovely young Japanese family who have moved from Tokyo for this rich rural life. Mr Nakane is a 'half-monk', forester, soba-maker and farmer and it was interesting to hear, see and taste some of this rural lifestyle. The cottage is equipped with everything you need - including to cook your own meals. However, one of the highlights of the visit was to dine in their restaurant and try Mr Nakane's unique dishes based around soba and the cooking style learned from monks in Koyasan, with all the ingredients provided from his farm or locally. The cottage is easily reachable from the trail from Hosshinmon-oji to Hongu. But Mr Nakane picked me up from Hongu on the way to picking up his daughter from Kindy. He also dropped me off the next day at the bus stop for my next trip. A very comfortable and interesting stay on the walk.

My original e.mail was sent to the Kumano Kodo Travel Bureau and I was told to use the guest feedback form, which delayed my comments. Here is the original e.mail: Our stay at the Yamabushi Yado Ogamian was definetely a highlight of our entire stay in Japan. Mr Nakane's neighbour, Halena, was extremely gracious to pick us up quickly, earlier than expected, and drove us to Hongu the next morning when she had her own work to do. A very interesting lady, with an extraordinary, courageous and exemplary life trajectory. Mr Nakane prepared an outstanding dinner, one of the best, most authentic, delicious we ever had. This was a superb evening. Breakfast and lunch box were equally enticing, capping the perfect setting in the mountains, surrounded by silence, birds and a serenity that even a huge spider did not break! Please forward our utmost respect and gratitude to Mr Nakane and Halena.

Great stay in the mountains with incredible food and welcome

The stay was great. It was a bit difficult to find from the trail as the Kumano map is misleading and it’s better to use Google maps. Once we got there we were welcomed very warmly and served beautiful several course supper with culmination in delicious soba. The breakfast was equally beautifully presented traditional Japanese feast. The most wonderful though was our send off to the sound of traditional Yamabushi horn! Thank you.

Absolutely outstanding !

This has been THE highlight of my trip in terms of reception ! My host is a very dedicated and hospitable gentleman with a lovely family. His attention to me in all details was much above what I expected ! The quality of the dinner and breakfast he served me was absolutely fantastic and I am very grateful to him. ■バスで

・ＪＲ紀伊田辺駅から龍神バス約140分、伏拝口バス停下車5分。
・ＪＲ新宮駅から熊野御坊南海バス、奈良交通バス80分、本宮大社前バス停で龍神バスにお乗り換え伏拝口バス停下車5分　

・川湯温泉、湯の峰温泉から龍神バス、奈良交通バスで約30分、伏拝口バス停下車5分。

■お車で

（大阪方面から）
・阪和自動車道　南紀田辺IC（田辺市街地）または紀勢自動車道　上富田ＩＣ国道311号経由　約80分。

（名古屋方面から）
・紀勢自動車道　熊野大泊ICから国道42号で新宮市まで約40分、新宮市から国道168号経由　約50分。

・川湯温泉、湯の峰温泉、渡瀬温泉から国道168号線経由　約20分。

・熊野本宮大社から約10分。

拝庵に、初めてお越し下さるお客様へ、本宮大社より車で約１０分。
ほんぐう道の駅エーコープを右手に見て、発心門の方に坂を上がって行きます。
坂を上がりきった所に、「伏拝口」のバス停があります。
※一つ手前の伏拝のバス停と間違わないように！
そこを「農家民宿はる」の方向へヘアピンカーブで左に曲がって下さい。
集落の道を道なりにずっと走ると、二手に分かれるところに出るので、そこを右に。
そこからまた道なりに少し行くと、左手に拝庵の駐車場が見えて来ます。
駐車場に車を停めたら、歩いてすぐ。
「福寿院」というお寺を通り過ぎ、一番奥の家になります。
階段が３４段あります。そこを上がれば、中根家、「山伏そば拝庵」です。
