Wonderful experience
I booked our whole trip to Japan around this week. Once I chose the spring festival cultural week, the planning was all done for us. We had a wonderful selection of accommodations from in home small village experiences meeting locals, to resorts with onsens. No hassle, everything was planned for us including most meals and lunches. The guides were awesome🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟. Informative, friendly and helpful. We felt they went out of their way to make us all feel special. We made new friends from all over with the group we toured and hiked with. The local people were very friendly and encouraging during the festival. This area is a beautiful, much quieter part of Japan. Well worth exploring.

Excellent adventure along the Kumano Kodo Trail
We had the most amazing time hiking along the Kumano Kodo trail. Our journey was made all the more exceptional thanks to how easy Kumano Travel made everything. We stayed in wonderful hosted accommodation as well as lovely Onsen hotels. The meals provided throughout were of a very high standard and hosts / staff went out of their way to make us comfortable and to advise us where needed. All luggage transport, bus tickets etc. worked flawlessly, and the book, maps, etc. received as part of the package were so informative - we learned so much about the region by paging through the book during hiking breaks and afterwards. All in all, an amazing experience. Thank you so much Kumano Travel Team!

Very happy we did it!
The tour was very well organized. Everything happened as scheduled, starting with the welcome in the tourist office where we got the vouchers, the map, the program and the book. All these materials were very useful! (We thoroughly studied the elevation differences!) The trail was always well indicated. We loved all the accommodations and their variety: sometimes a room or an entire house, and twice a very good hotel. The hotel in Watarase Onsen was exceptional: especially the private onsen and the dinner and breakfast. The food, especially the breakfast, in Fushiogami was less than in the other places.

The travel plan was good and nice stay
We followed what the website suggestion of the visiting schedule and time (without staying). KUMANO Travel planned awesome Airbnbs for us. Also, we don’t need to worry about the luggage, it always arrives before us. The last two nights were in onsen hotels. We have buffet (at 山水館 川湯みどりや), and traditional Japanese feast (at Manseiro 万清楼)! I want to shut out to hotel named おやど 瀬名. The host provided a wonderful experience of stay at her place. She provided delicious meals and bento, free beer, free massage chair, and free Japanese pajamas! From her place, we saw the beautiful view of the town and mountain. It’s unforgettable travel!

Wow, fantastic trip.
Everything was planned to perfection. Nothing was left out. Well booked a six day intermediate trip on the Nakahechi Route. From lodging to bus schedules to food, everything was spelled out clearly.

Once in a lifetime experience
I cannot express how much fun this experience was. The hotels and guesthouses were top notch. The food was amazing. Everything about the trip was well thought out and put together so well. Thank you for such an amazing time!
