This warm, private rental house AIWASO on the panoramic grounds where once a castle stood had been a famed inn for visiting dignitaries since 1957. Now, partially renovated yet keeping its rustic Japanese nostalgic charm, this former retreat will help visiting guests feel comfortable and "at home," perfect for private family, friends or groups before they depart on their Kumano Kodo journey. The house features a modern Italian Magniflex bed, and a monitor that plays music and projects images on the fusuma sliding doors. Sunsets and sunrises are splendid from the deck. No meals are included, but guests can use the kitchen. Only one group a day. (Just 30 minutes on foot or 10 minutes by taxi from Kii-Tanabe Station.)| Full Name |
