非常特别的体验
我是跟好友一起来熊野古道徒步的。在网站上查了相关信息，提前3个月预定的住宿。住宿地点离公交站不远，门口有樱花树，房子很新。Pon主人家很热情，晚餐6点准时开始。晚餐会跟我们互动，讲解每道美食。第二天早餐和中午的便当也都很美味。

Lovely stay & very helpful hosts
We really enjoyed our stay at Albergue Chikatsuyu Pon. As soon as we arrived we were made to feel at home. Izumi san even took our dirty, sweaty clothes that we had been hiking in and had them clean and dry before we sat down for dinner.
All the meals were delicious and the lunch bento box was perfect for the next day's hike.
Would definitely stay again if in the area.

Incredible
The food was stunning! Such delicious meals using lots of local/homegrown/home-made ingredients and so many courses! And they were able to cater to my veganism which I really appreciated, and the vegan food they made me was some of the best I've eaten in Japan. The hospitality was also amazing, and the house itself is beautiful. We felt so taken care of here, thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

STAY HERE!
We had a LOVELY time at Izumisan and Masasan's house. They were so welcoming and we really appreciated their hospitality. We LOVED the pon :) And everything they served us was local to the area and so so delicious. I wish I could've stayed another night and continued chatting with them :) THANK YOU!

Izumi san and masa san did a small demonstration on popping rice, barley and corn. They prepared good supper and breakfast using some of their home grown ingredients. We loved the food.

Wonderful Host, Stay and Food
Izumi and Matsudo was amazing ! We felt like we were treated to a personal omakase dinner.
Personalised and quiet. Their house was right on the trail too !

最初はちょっと緊張しました。お二人は私たち同様にちょいと人見知りのようですが、親しみ始めたら面白いかただとわかりました。
お二人はほんとうに山大好きだと思いました。最高です。
お料理もボリュームと品質が両方高くてびっくりしました。期待以上でした。
次はもっとゆっくりとした旅でまたお泊まりしたいと思います。もっとお話しできたら楽しいと思います。

Incredible hosts in a beautiful spot.
Our hosts were very special, they prepared a gourmet dinner, with locally sourced ingrediants and presided over it with charm and originality. The 'Pon" device was a delightful surprise. The room was spotless, and even with a full contingent of visitors the shared spaces were efficiently organized and managed. It was in a lovely, quiet location that was a 2 minute walk down the hill to our morning busstop.

昨年できたばかりの新しい宿で、設備はすべてがピカピカ、お部屋は新しい畳の香りがしました。
海外の修験道を長く歩いたなどの経験が豊富なオーナーは、話しやすく、いろいろとおもてなしを頂きました。
夕食前にポン菓子の実演が見せていただけたのは驚きでした。
食事はメニューが多く、栄養バランスを考えられているものでした。
ご近所で採れたものも頂けました。よもぎの天ぷらが最高！
うっかり食べ過ぎてしまい、苦しかったです。
食事は、宿泊者全員で大きなテーブルを囲んで食べるスタイルでした。（といっても、3組5人）
全員熊野古道を歩いている皆さんなので共通の話題で話せましたが、私は英語が得意ではないので
海外の方との会話に苦戦し、もっと英語を勉強しなきゃーと思いました。
まさか、熊野古道の宿で、こんなに国際交流があるとは思っていませんでした。
立地は熊野古道沿いにあり、歩いていける場所にスーパーやお土産屋さんがあり、便利だと思います。

新しく快適なお宿
近露から継桜に向かう古道沿いにある新しくとても快適なお宿です。
食事前のポン菓子イベントがとても楽しかったです。
お風呂やお手洗い、洗面所などどこも新しく清潔で快適そのものでした。
雨に濡れていたので、洗濯機と乾燥機を無料で使わせていただけたのが大変ありがたかったです。
食事もとても美味しかったです。

Warm and kind
The owners really take good care of you, and prepare for delicate meals. You must order three meal for a set. They can talk in basic English, so communicate will be fine. Overall, they just like your parents on the kumano kodo.

Very nice stay at albergue chikatsuyu pon
Everything was perfect. The localisation is perfect for doing kumano kodo travel path. The owners were very kind, we really enjoyed our stay. The room and the bathroom were very clean and convenient. Thank you very much. We really liked discuss with you and shared this moment.

Super modern and cultured
Our stay at Chikatsuyu Pon was one of the highlights of our Kumano Kodo experience. The house is recently built, airy and modern with a lovely feel to it. Our hosts welcomed us with warm whipped matcha tea and a snack. Everything was organised, shower times, washing and drying of clothes, meal times, bento box and an early getaway for the long leg to Hongu Taisha. We shared the evening meal and breakfast with the other guests, which was a really nice start to our journey. The food was excellent, traditional Japanese cuisine created with a lot of care with some locally sourced ingredients. Oh, and did I mention the popcorn machine?? The best! Thank you Izumi and Masaru, we miss you!

Best Accomodation ever!
It is the best accomodation I have ever experianced in my life! The owners were so kind and they spent a lot of time to prepare all the food for us. The rooms are clean, food was great and they even prepared a popcorn show! If I ever come back to Kumano definetely I will stay in their place again, and thank you very much for your hospitality！

Albergue Chikatsuyu Pon - the best there is!
Our stay at Pon was great! The hosts are very nice and generous. The food was traditional and authentic, the popcorn show was fun. The hosts are kind and helpful and it felt like my grandparents are taking care of me.
We we're staying with two more guests, and had dinner together. We had a very fun and interesting conversation, leveraging the language barrier and learning a lot about the Japanese culture and the differences between our cultures.
We are highly recommend staying at Albergue Chikatsuyu Pon!

Like at home
The guesthouse is very cute and comfortable, the house is very new and the room perfect. Izumi and Masaru are amazing hosts, will help you with the way and make you feel at home. Izumi is a great cook and the meals she prepared me were delicious and more than sufficient in size. Totally recommended!
