Great little hotel to start our walk from
Small and well designed rooms were comfortable, bathroom had great facilities and products. Only feedback would be to start breakfast and coffee self service earlier for early walkers

Clean, comfortable, and near the train
We arrived in the evening and stayed for one night before taking the 6am bus.
I recall it being about a 5 min walk from the train station. We also walked from there to a grocery store and 24-hour ATM (at a convenience store), which we were really happy to find to finish the preparations for the hike.
The staff were welcoming and eager to help. They had a translation machine. I asked for taxi phone numbers to have just in case, and they had a handout of them to share. They had the Kumano pilgrim brochure with the maps. They also helped me out by calling my next-night accommodations with a question.
The room was pretty nice given that the cost was so reasonable. We skipped breakfast because we got up early to get to the bus. The breakfast area looked cute with a bunch of books on shelves; had we stayed longer I would have perused them.

Great base to get organize
Closed to train station, only 5 min walk and tones of restaurants in a short radius. Perfect for getting ready for the kumano kodo walk. The buffet breakfast was good

Fantastic
It's a fantastic hotel, like all the Comfort hotels I've stayed at in Japan. It's new, tastefully decorated, and the rooms are a good size, as is the bathroom. The breakfasts are well-prepared, varied, and healthy, and the location is excellent. I liked it very much; I missed having an onsen (hot spring bath), but you can't have everything. I will go back.

Comfortable
Well named hotel. Very comfortable. Room was clean and a decent size. Breakfast was good and served from early on. We arrived from Kii Tanabe railway station. The hotel is not very far away but I had a little trouble locating it using Google maps because the name is only displayed in Kanji, which I cannot read. Figured it out in the end.

The hotel is new and very modern. It is still in its pristine condition. The location is just 5 minutes walk to walk to the bus and train stations. The breakfast buffet has lots of choices and caters international cuisine. When in Tanabe, we will come back to this accomodation.
