Great value place to stay at the start of the walk. Only thing to be aware of is that you cant drop bags early as nobody is there until 4pm.

Django is great
We enjoyed our stay at Django. The room, bathroom and location were very good. The Manager was super helpful and friendly even though we arrived well before check in time he helped us out. Sadly we were there on a night the bar downstairs was not open as it looks like a fun venue. Thank you again Django team.

Convinient stay close to the trainstation
The place is at a very convinient location close to the train station and food district. We stayed at a traditional room, which was comfortable, except for the mosquitoes. The host was very nice. Thank you.

Closest to train station
The hostel is very close to the train station. The host Juan is very friendly, all amenities and our room were super clean. Our room was small but this is Ok. Also we could hear the traffic light from the street beeping during the night. The best of all: we were given the opportunity to store luggage for the length of our Kumano Kodo travel for free. This helped us avoid the very expensive travel services offered by tour operators.

Great location...but bar not open on a Sunday!
Django is in a top spot, but we stayed on a Sunday night and the bar/lounge was not open. The room was also very noisy.

Very clean
We came here for one night in the off-season of winter, and the next day we were going to the Kumano Kodo. It was not crowded, everything was neat and organized. Very quiet. The bathing facilities were also very convenient.

Hip and clean hostel

Excellent value.
Great little hostel across the street from the train station, and right by many many bars and restaurants. Had a private room, which featured a surprisingly large bed by Japanese standards. Cool little (busy) bar on the main floor.

Stylish and welcoming stay
Spent one night at Django before starting my trek. I had a very warm and helpful welcome from Juan, the room was beautifully decorated and had everything I need for a really comfortable night's stay - and the bar is SO lovely. Do try the locally brewed craft IPA if you can. Highly recommend!
