GUEST HOUSE ICHIUME NO YADO is a set of refurbished, Japanese apartments located on the 3rd and 4th floors of an older multipurpose building near the Kii-Tanabe station by the restaurant district called Ajikoji. These compact apartments are three different styles: 2DK, 3DK and 3LDK. The 2DK has two Japanese-style rooms and kitchen. The 3DK has three Japanese-style rooms and kitchen. The 3LDK is the largest with a western style room with twin beds, two Japanese-style rooms and a larger kitchen. Note, the kitchens are unfurnished, so no dishes, etc or foods. For those looking for independence and privacy, these apartments are a good choice.

Very convenient location

Closely located to the station, the communication and welcome was really nice. Communicating with the receptionist, even not speaking English too much, was easy and straight to the point. He even brought us some fresh bottled water, which was so nice! The accommodation has lots of features, even if it was basic and a bit old. At any rate, plenty of room for 4 people, especially if one snores loudly you can put them in the extra room.

Well located guesthouse

The place was clean and spacious, but even though it had a kitchen, in the cupboards there weren't any glasses, plates, pots and cutlery to have a basic breakfast. It is close to the train and bus station what made it easy to arrive on time. There are a lot of restaurants on the same street, but some were difficult to identify because they don't have a sign.

駅から近い。周辺は飲食店が多く、宿の方に教えていただいたお店も大変良かった。建物並びに部屋は年季が入っており、ビジネスホテルなどと比較すると見劣りはするが料金相応かやや割高。

A Good Basic Guest Room

The room is a clean, basic Japanese style room. A small desk and chair in the kitchen. Futon on the floor, and floor seating in the tatami room. Happy for the two air conditioners during my stay. Excellent location five minutes walk from the train/bus station. Wide selection of restaurants and izakayas right next door. Very helpful and friendly staff. They waited for me when my arrival turned out to be later than I expected.

チェックイン時に利用した2階への階段の1番下にゴミが放置されていて不快でした部屋は2DKで広くて快適でした

Located very close to the JR station and is convenience. The room is located on the third floor and has an strange smell, possibly due to poor ventilation. The receptionist doesn't know much English. Basically relying on self-help.

Great Location

Nice little guesthouse, centrally located just within a short walk from Kii Tanabe station. It's surrounded by restaurants and shops so everything is just easily accessible. The room is spacious and comes with kitchen and a common area too which is pretty impressive! Only problem is there's no elevator / lift, so we had to carry our luggage upstairs, pretty taxing.

Good value and great location.

The room was large and comfortable. However there was no crockery, cups or cutlery. Great location and reasonable price.

Just the basics

The lodging is in an interesting and lively part of old Tanabe, but other than this there is nothing attractive about this guest house. The kitchen and two rooms have the basics needed for sleeping and to spend one night, but little else. The were no cooking utensils, plates, bowels or anything else. Not even a plastic or paper cup, or any type of cup or glass for drinking tap water. It does have good AC. Not recommended.
