Description
Guesthouse × Cafe
Guesthouse Housen is a new, bright, friendly accommodation between Chikatsuyu and Nonaka, built in 2022. The name "Housen" (pronounced "hoh-sen") can be translated to mean "boat of abundance" and relates to Ebisu, one of the Japanese Seven Lucky Gods, whose figure often graces restaurants and inns. The owners certainly hope their guests feel an abundance of relief and relaxation.
This inn is perfect for small groups. Three western-style rooms available.
The family who owns the inn transplanted after running a yakitori-style izakaya restaurant for 30 years in Wakayama City to start their own inn and cafe in the Kumano area.
Although plans include two or three meals, guests can also relax and enjoy light food and drinks from the "N.S. Cafe" next door run by the owner's son including a special homemade pudding (The pudding is available to guests for free with dinner at the accommodation). There is also a workout gym in an adjacent building with full weights and exercise bikes free to staying guests.

Type A Type B Type C Type D Type E Vegetarianism is not common in the Japanese countryside. Please double-check the Vegetarian Type which the service provider can accommodate to make sure that it meets your needs. Often being able to eat trace amounts of the ubiquitous Katsuo Dashi (fish stock) makes it easier to find options.
