Nice hotel with Kumano Kodo bus stop

We stayed one night after arriving from Tokyo. Really nice seaside hotel. *Very* helpful staff. We had bags sent forward to our hotel in Shingu. No problems at either end of that. Convenient bus stop right at the end of the driveway. We took the bus next morn to Takijiri-oji. One observation: it's a no-tattoos-in-the-baths facility. That's not a complaint; I respect the why of it. You just might want to know before you go.

Really nice hotel and extremely friendly and helpful staff. We flagged down the shuttle bus on the street, nowhere near the pickup point. Only in Japan.

Great location

Room was very large and the hotel is more like a resort. A little way out of town but a taxi was organised for us to go get a meal. Found a fabulous local place to eat and had a great stay.

Great room, quite expensive food

We stayed there one night. It was a good hotel with a very big room. A little far away from Tanabe but with the bus easy to reach. We didn't eat there, though, looked rather expensive for what it was.

dissapointing Kaiseki meal

Kaiseki meal should be expected as experience of elagance, exquisity and service with thoughtfulness. Our meal time was fixed at 5:30 with no choice. A table right next to teppanyaki of the buffet restuarant, the smell of teppan dominates the sense of appetite. The food had no surprise, and quite little that we needed to eat another meal outside. We also had 2 Kaiseki meals at Katsuura Gyoen Ryokan the days before Harvest Nanki, the meals and service was way beyond. Price is pretty much the same.

Hotel is very nice place to stay. However, it is not closed to the train station and need to take bus and walk a bit to the Hotel. All rooms have beautiful seaview. Receptionist is very friendly and helpful and with good English. The Japanese dinner provided is delicious.

Room sea view is fantastic. Really relaxing. Reception service is good but poor English (especially at night shift). Suprisingly, nobody prepare the Tatami after dinner (for me first time happen in Japna). We have to call but there is no housekeeping in this hotel. Finally the receptionist prepared for us. Food is fair. The bath in women side is clean and tidy but it's a pity that it is not facing the sea. Out of expectation.
