"hougetu village" is a small, stylish, container house with balcony just a 13-minute walk from Kumano Hongu Taisha and 10 minutes to "Sosei-no-Yu" onsen hot spring. While the outside has an industrial-themed vibe, the inside is quite cozy and relaxing. Either a private container house with kitchen and bath or bed in the separate dormitory-style rooms are available. Enjoy the serene sounds of the nearby Otonashi River during the day and view of the starry sky at night. It is a convenient, reasonable option for those walking the Kumano Kodo and wish to stay in the central Hongu area.
