Description
Kumano Kodo Homestay
Kodo-no-Yado Kakidaira is a century old house renovated to host visitors from around the world. Ms. Watanabe did not want to leave her ancestral home empty and with the support of those around her began this homestay on the south side of Chikatsuyu. It is located off the main roads on an upper terrace of land overlooking the valley. Her friends and family really enjoy the view and she hopes that her guests will too. The name Kakidaira is from the name of settlement as historically it was a higher plateau "daira" with many "kaki" or persimmon trees: Kakidaira. Meals are supplied by a nearby cafe. The evening bento is delivered to the homestay. Breakfast is eaten at the cafe where the lunch box (simple rice balls) is picked up.
Only one booking per night.

Type A Type B Type C Type D Type E Vegetarianism is not common in the Japanese countryside. Please double-check the Vegetarian Type which the service provider can accommodate to make sure that it meets your needs. Often being able to eat trace amounts of the ubiquitous Katsuo Dashi (fish stock) makes it easier to find options.
More Information
NOTE: It is difficult and not culturally sensitive to change meal requests, or make new meal demands, onsite when you arrive at accommodations. Vegetarian types must be confirmed during the reservation process and respected during your visit.
