It is a cozy, renovated traditional family home of the owner with spacious grounds for up to 8 people to relax and appreciate local nature. The rooms are Japanese-style with futons, and the house has a shared bath and toilet. There is a free-use kitchen and breakfast-like items are offered in the morning with some limited drinks for sale onsite. The owner offers free shuttle service to Takijiri and Takahara for pickup on the check-in date, and drop-off the following morning. He also offers transport to a nearby supermarket. Surrounded by the soothing sounds of the Ishiburi River and lush nature, this is the perfect choice for Kumano Kodo hikers on one of the first days of their pilgrimage.
