Fisherman's Onsen Guesthouse

Minshuku Seseragi is a family-run guesthouse in a small settlement south of Ryujin Onsen.  The owner is a well known fisherman, knowledgable and passionate about the beautiful mountain rivers flowing near his lodge.  The laid back atmosphere attracts fishermen and those looking for quiet tranquility, many guests enjoy the nature views from the guestrooms.  Meals are made with local ingredients, featuring locally caught fish.  The hot spring bath is lined with wood and looks out onto the river. The name of the minshuku "Seseragi" means "the sound of a flowing creek or stream", and has a peaceful and soothing nuance.

何回目のリピートでしょうか・・・

初めてせせらぎさんにお世話になってから何回目のリピートでしょうか？昨年も２回お世話になり、今回は妻と早速春先にお世話になりました。龍神温泉のはずれにある心休まるとても落ち着ける宿です。私の一押しは何といっても食事のおいしさです。田舎宿の食事ですが、都会では味わえないものばかりです。いつもご飯を食べ過ぎてしまい困りものです。それとかけ流しの温泉も素晴らしいです。コロナ過で貸し切り状態での入浴となり、かけ流しの温泉がとても気持ち良いです。お部屋もお風呂も手入れが行き届いており、古い宿ですが気になりません。ちょっと疲れた時にお世話になるには手ごろな料金ですし、これからもリピートさせていただきます。

Loved this place and our super cute family! They were so hospitable! From meeting our bus on the first day, to driving us back to the bus stop the next. A beautiful location on the river. Our room was a corner room with a view of the river. Slept with the door open to hear the water river all night, love that! The meals were amazing!! I'm a vegetarian and it was the best Japanese style veggie meal of our whole trip!! All fresh ingredients from the area. Can't thank our family enough. Also, the onsen in Ryujin was one of the best on our trip!

久しぶりのせせらぎ最高

ずっと行きたかったのですがやめちゃたのかなと諦めてた　せせらぎさんを熊野トラベルさんで見つけて速攻で予約しました　久しぶりでしたが　家庭的で料理も美味しくやはり　最高でした　また行きます

素晴らしい宿

立地は温泉街から離れていますし、外見は高級そうにはみえません。 釣りやジビエが好きな人以外はあまり候補に入らないかもしれません。 しかし、 お風呂は最高、なによりご夫婦の心遣いがあたたかい。 そのうえ、料理が素晴らしい。鹿やイノシシ、さらには季節の山菜や野菜、満腹なのに食卓にはまだまだお料理が。。。 全国いろいろなところを旅しましたが、屈指の宿です。おすすすめです。

We loved the location on the river. Might not be convenient for everyone. Bus dropped us off at the front door. Meals were exceptional! The Best we had on the trip.Host couple goes out of their way for you! We were able to use washing machine for free. Our room had a porch which we enjoyed. Onsen was great!

Great stay, fantastic food, awesome staff

We stayed at Minshuku Seseragi after our stay in Koyasan. The place is a bit remote so one should bring time and be informed of bus schedules (bus to Ryujin Onsen only runs twice a day). The Minshuku was a great place to stay! The owners are wonderful, nice and helpful! We recommend at least a basic Japanese to communicate because thr speak very little English. The food was just outstanding! We had a wonderful dinner and fantastic breakfast. We recommend taking the dinner&breakfast plan, because there are also not many other places around to eat and everyone should take up zhe chance eating at the Minshuku.

It was a perfect moment. The house is just stuning, just in front of the river. The owner is extremly nice and we had a excellent evening with his fisherman friends. Best place we went !

　大満足でした。

　伊勢、熊野、高野山、明日香の旅の2日目にお世話になりましたが、お風呂も食事も大満足でとても快適に過ごせました。こんなお宿が近くにあればいいのにと宿を出発してから妻と話しました。よい旅の思い出をありがとうございました。

眺めのいいお部屋と内湯の温泉、おいしいお食事、どれも素晴しい！

悪天候のため予定を早めたため、チェックインよりかなり早く到着してしまいましたが、すぐにお部屋に通してくださいました。龍神温泉の元湯からは少し離れていますが、きれいな川沿いを散歩がてら歩ける距離です。お部屋からも川と山が見ることができ、眺めは素晴しかったです。また、お食事も美味しく、ボリュームもあり種類も多くかなり満足できました。近くでとれる旬の山菜や野菜もふんだんに使われていて元気がわいてくるようなお食事でした。また、内湯は温泉でとてもいいお湯でした。貸切り状態で入れました。宿の方も本当に親切でいろいろとご配慮いただきました。

Minshuku Seseragi November 2012

The owners of Minshuku Sesseragi went out of their way to make me feel welcome, and I came away feeling more like one of the family than a guest. The (very substantial) meals were excellent, with produce often sourced from the surrounding woods, incluing wild mushrooms and venison. Although little English is spoken, we managed to get over this using without too much difficulty, due to the couple's friendliness and good humour, and they also have a friendly ferret! I very much enjoyed my stay.
