Lovely Homestay Experience
Minshuku Yamamoto is a friendly home stay in the Miura-guchi area.
It is ~2 km north-east on route 733 from the north trailhead of the Miura-toge pass trail head of the Kumano Kodo Kohechi route.
The large wooden home is located in a small settlement of homes, a very scenic landscape in the steep mountains.
There is a small cabin next to the house that is sometimes used by guests.
The rooms are separated by fusuma sliding doors.
If you call from the pay phone near the toilet on the west side of the tunnel near the trailhead to the Obako-toge pass trailhead, and then move to the Miura-guchi bus stop and wait, the owners can pick you up in their car.
It is about 800 m from the Obako-toge trailhead to the Miura-guchi bus stop, about a 10-minute walk.

Please double-check the Vegetarian Type which the service provider can accommodate to make sure that it meets your needs. Often being able to eat trace amounts of the ubiquitous Katsuo Dashi (fish stock) makes it easier to find options.

● 10 min by bus from Kawatsu on route 168. Nearest bus stop "Uchino 内野".If walking from Kawatsu bus stop, Minshuku Yamamoto is opposite the "Uchino 内野" bus stop on route 733 (2 kms before reaching the trail head).

Shuttle to/from the Kohechi trails for Miura-toge pass to the south and Obako-toge pass to the north.
Call from the pay phone near the toilet on the west side of the tunnel near the trailhead to the Obako-toge pass, then walk to Miura-guchi bus stop for pick-up (about 800 m, 10 min).
