Lovely Homestay Experience
Minshuku Yamamoto is a friendly home stay in the Miura-guchi area.
It is ~2 km north-east on route 733 from the north trailhead of the Miura-toge pass trail head of the Kumano Kodo Kohechi route.
The large wooden home is located in a small settlement of homes, a very scenic landscape in the steep mountains.
There is a small cabin next to the house that is sometimes used by guests.
The rooms are separated by fusuma sliding doors.
If you call from the pay phone near the toilet on the west side of the tunnel near the trailhead to the Obako-toge pass trailhead, and then move to the Miura-guchi bus stop and wait, the owners can pick you up in their car.
It is about 800 m from the Obako-toge trailhead to the Miura-guchi bus stop, about a 10-minute walk.

小辺路を歩く際に一泊させて頂きました。他の方々のレビューの通り、本当に素晴らしい宿でした。オーナーご夫妻の心温まるおもてなしと、まるで料亭のように繊細に盛り付けられた料理が、一つ一つ本当に美味しく、心から感動しました。お部屋やお風呂もとても清潔で、古道を歩いて疲れた体もしっかりと癒されました。今回の小辺路歩きの一番のハイライトと言っても過言ではないでしょう。小辺路は大変だけどまたいつか泊まりに行きたい！そう思ってしまうお宿です。お世話になりました。ありがとうございました。

Wonderful Farm Stay in a lovely village - Excellent cuisine!
This was one of my favourite accommodations during our trip! Our hosts were very generous and helpful, and our meals were out of this world. On a trip where I feel like I ate extremely well almost all the time, the dinner and breakfast I had at Minshuku Yamamoto still stand out as superior. I feel like they deserve a Michelin star for their cuisine. Their home is very cosy and comfortable, we loved our stay there.

Lovely couple and amazing meals
The thing I remember the most from this place was the lovely old couple that run it. They are so nice and they provide amazing traditional dinner and breakfast full of little plates and ingredients. It looks like it take so long to cook and prepare. You really feel like in a 5 star hotel. Apart from that, the place is very nice. It is far from the trail, yes, but the owner of the bed and breakfast will take you by car the morning after back to the route. I will stay again here without any doubt.

Hospitable stay by a loving couple nearby Miura-guchi

Very nice private accommodation

our stay at minshuku yamamoto has been amazing under every aspect! the host has be incredibly kind and even gave us a lift by car because we arrived at the wrong place (our fault! directions are super easy!). arrived at the location we were amazed by the beauty and the calm of the place and the traditional room, that comes with every comfort: bottled water, air condinioner, pijamas, book guides, of course futon bed and the most futuristic washlet. The dinner has been the peak of our experience at minshuku yamamoto. It was hosted in the main bulding, which has been an honour to stay in, and left us simply speechless. Not only it was traditional and super tasty, but you could feel the care and the history put in it's preparation. Even the breakfast and the lunchbox were unexpectedly amazing! 朝早く出るので、朝食をお弁当にしていただき、また、三浦口を朝5:30に出れるように車で送っていただきありがとうございました。西中バス停に10:55に着き、11:00に頼んだタクシーに間に合い、十津川温泉より無事バスで大阪に帰れました。民宿山本は、農家の家庭におじゃました感じで，家庭的な雰囲気が良かったです。今後も小辺路の続きや中辺路など熊野古道を歩こうと思っています。

Yamamoto san is the kindest man in the world!
Yamamoto san impressed us with his kindness! Unfortunately, due to my slow walking speed, we left the forest later than 17.00 and were very worried that we would not be able to move in because of this. However, when we left the forest at the end of the journey, Yamamoto san was waiting for us by car, and we did not have to walk another 4 kilometers along the paved road to his house. I even burst into tears of joy, relief, and gratitude. Also, the stay at Yamamoto san's house was very comfortable - everything was very clean and cozy. Yamamoto san and his wife also prepared a delicious dinner and breakfast for us. We sincerely wish Yamamoto San and his wife happiness, health and prosperity. I bow low to them for their kindness!

ほっとくつろげる実家のようなお宿
お父さんもお母さんもすごく丁寧に心からもてなしてくださって、最高でした。お部屋も実家みたいだったし、お料理も量もお腹いっぱいで、かつ残さなくていいくらいでちょうどよく、とっても美味しかったです。世界中からお客さんが来ていて、他のお客さんやお父さんと話しながらの食事時間が楽しかったです。登り口まで、希望の時間に迎えに来てくれて、朝もまめに送ってくださり、ありがとうございます。小さな集落、いつかなくなってしまうのかなあと思うと寂しいです。

Located in a remote area, but a awesome choice worth visiting for accommodation
If you understand Japanese, this guesthouse is my top recommendation on Kohechi, and I hope to return someday. The rooms are spacious and stylishly designed, and the dinner, breakfast, and bento provided are all delicious. The owner is also very friendly, and the washbasin has hot water available. Since the guesthouse is quite far from the Kohechi route, you’ll need to ask the owner for a ride. However, the owner only speaks Japanese, so be sure to confirm that someone in your group can communicate with him in Japanese.

居心地の良いお宿
疲れて三浦口まで行けず登山口まで迎えに来て頂いたり、美味しいお食事やお心遣いにとても癒されました。三浦峠まで辿り着いたのですが仲間が体調不良でどうしようか？と思っていたらなんと 同宿の方々が足の故障でバスルートに変更。その為時間があるので三浦峠までご案内されていたご主人の車に遭遇して仲間はそこから一緒に下山してバスで十津川に向かう事が出来ました。奇跡の様な偶然に驚くと同時に感謝でした。機会が有ればまたこのお宿に来たいと思います。ありがとうございました。

We loved staying at the Yamamoto family farm! Chickens are super cute and the valley is gorgeous. Supper was delicious and they made us a delicious lunch to give us energy for the hike along the Kohechi!

This husband and wife duo are so cute and fun. Their home is beautiful. I loved watching the koi, the birds, and hearing the chickens. They are willing to help you in whatever way they can and want you to have a good journey. Also, she cooks the best food I've eaten my entire two months of staying in Japan.

Beautiful homestay in Muira-guchi
This is the most remote town on the Kohechi route. Make sure you save the phone numbers for your accommodation. You can call them from a payphone to come meet you at the bus stop. They are in a beautiful setting in the very remote town of Miura-guchi. The food was delicious and they owners were very welcoming. I am usually vegetarian, and they were able to accommodate no meat.

A little bit of a walk to get there but we felt very welcome at the this minshuku, very nice people, delicious meals. We were in an annex with a private shower and toilet, which was more privacy then expected. They gave us a ride back to the trailhead in the morning. Great experience!

山本ご夫妻はとても親しみやすく親切な方でした。ご主人には村の歴史などお話いただきました。奥様は美味しいお料理をたくさん作って下さりました。とてもおいしいかったです。お料理は山本さんがご自分の田んぼや畑で採れたものーお米、お野菜そしてお茶ーを出して下さりありがたくいただきました。 宿の周りを少し散策しました。景色がとてもよいです。自分とは関係のない土地なのにその農村の風景が不思議と懐かしい感じがしました。 民宿山本のおもてなしと居心地の良さはもちろんですが、十津川村の内野という村の暮らしを目の当たりにできたことはとても貴重な経験だと思いました。

Fantastic meals and kindest people
We loved our stay at Minshuku Yamamoto. The only complaint I have is the light and noise from the neighboring room, as the room has a shared wall. There is a decorative portion at the very top of the wall that is not sealed. If you're traveling with a group that would use both rooms, then this probably wouldn't be an issue at all. Luckily our neighbor was respectful and we turned our lights off at the same time and were both quiet in the night. The owner drove us to the trailhead in the morning which made for a great start to the day.

Nicest stay of my Kumano Kodo walk!
A fantastic accommodation with the nicest hosts! The place looks really nice, with a great shower and bathroom. The highlight of the stay are definitely the owners. A really nice elderly couple with the most incredible dinner and breakfast. I had great meals at all the accommodations during my walk, but the dinner and breakfast here were my favourite of all of them.

小辺路踏破の旅（2日目宿泊先）
登山口から少し遠いですが、送迎してくれるため、問題なかったです。料理が地元の食材を使っていて美味しかった。お風呂は、一般的な家庭用のお風呂です。部屋内にたくさん干し場があり、リックを置く場所にシートがあり、多少の汚れなどがあっても置きやすくなっていて助かりました。

Tucked away and very peaceful
A beautiful little house tucked away in the valley. The couple who run the house are lovely and the food was delicious. Out room was huge and had everything we needed. They also gave us spme information on the Kohechi trail and drove us to the trail head in the morning along with the other guests.

Two ways to Yamamoto
This is a purpose built guest house that is very comfortable. Food was excellent. We did not use the shuttle service to get to the location, rather we followed the signs to Yamamoto that start from the suspension bridge. That trail is hardly used, but it is otherwise fairly flat. So if you are up for another 2k, follow the trail.

静かな農家での一時
三浦口の登山口から２キロくらい熊野古道っぽい道を30分以上歩いて宿に辿り着きました。この道はかつては生活道路で、リヤカーも通っていたと宿のご主人は話していました。幹線である舗装道路が崩落したため、仮の舗装道路との二択で山道を歩きました。これもいい経験です! キレイに盛り付けられた料理はとても美味しくてリラックスできました。これだけの料理を作るのにどれだけ時間がかかるのだろうとビックリ!! 翌朝は烏骨鶏の生卵をご飯にかけていただきました。 わたしの生まれ育った大分の田舎のことを思い出しました。

Excellent Home Stay

Our hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming and they prepared a meal for us that we're still thinking of, because it was just so delicious. Also the bento they prepared for the next day was a real treat. The guestroom was very beautiful, we slept like babies. The were so kind to pick us up from the telephone booth at the end of the kochechi trail route and to bring us back to the start of the next trail after our stay. If we would ever visit the area again, we would definitely stay here.

This was our favorite place to stay on the trail. It's a smaller place with only a few rooms, and everyone staying eats dinner and breakfast together while conversing together with the owners. It is a bit out of the way from the trail but they are happy to give rides to and from the trailhead.

A bed and breakfast owned by a very welcoming and friendly couple!
I felt like part of a small family. Dinner and breakfast were tasty and made with love. The room was clean, spacious, well laid out, comfortable, and air conditioned. The bathroom was spotless. I swear it all looked new. I think back fondly to my time there. I marked my spot on the world map that hangs on the wall, and we had a group photo taken. The owners really love what they do. Don't change anything.

Love Minshuku Yamamoto
Ok, so it is a bit off the Kumano Kodo beaten track, however, what this place lacks in location, it certainly make up in hospitality, service, and friendliness. The couple running this place are delightful, the food is home cooked and wonderful, and the sleeping quarters are just what one needs after 8 hours on the run. I loved the fact that while not eating with us at the table, the hosts were just there... minding their own business and eating with us. A highlight in my Kumano Kodo experience.

A wonderful stay. Truly some of the best food I have ever eaten in my life. Beautiful sound of the waterwheel. Enjoyed looking at the chickens. Thank you for the lift from the station that I didn't need to call - you knew I was coming! And thank you SO MUCH for bringing my phone charger all the way to the next hotel when I left it with you. 私たちは母屋でオーナーご夫妻と同じ建物でしたが、広いお部屋を貸していただいてとてもくつろぐことができました。 料理はすごく品数も多く、盛り付けも料亭のように美しく、すべて美味しく頂きました。朝食では飼われている烏骨鶏の卵を生で頂きました。 立地はバス停から遠いですが、送迎があるので問題ないです。 すごくお気に入りの宿ができてよかったです。

Amazing Stsy with very welcoming Hosts
The way from Kumano Kodo trailhead to the Minshuku was well described. We had a very warm welcome, however the food was the highlight. It was even farmed all in the area by the hosts themselves, which I admired a lot. Although they did only speak Japanese, we had a great chat using Google translate which gave us a good impression of their live. I am greatly thankful for it!

Amazing experience
Very friendly hosts and amazing homegrown food! One of my best experience in a minshuku for sure. Quite far from the Kumano Kodo trail, but the owner drove us both to and from the location so it was not really an issue. The place is very charming, loved the watermill!

Super friendly homestay!
We were lucky to stay in the wooden house at the Minshuku Yamamoto, that is simply awesome! The room is huge with a traditional emphasis, the toilets are clean and comfy. The food at dinner, breakfast, and the lunch-box was simply fantastic. When you arrive, if you are tired of walking you can call the host who will pick-you up at the bus stop, since the minshuku is a couple of km out of the Kumano trail. The day after they will bring you back as well. Even if the place is in the middle of nothing, it is super relaxing and you can enjoy the garden being rocked by the sounds of birds and cicades.

Fantastic and charming stay
The owner's were lovely and all of the meals were absolutely delicious. The rooms were the nicest we've stayed in for the whole trip: beautifully quaint and charming while having all of the modern amenities (great shower!). The host family is so kind and friendly, in spite of the language barrier, and we're even nice enough to drive us up to the trail head the next day!

I'm so glad I booked through your company because of my stay at yamamoto. It felt like the quintessential minshuku experience. The hosts were very hospitable the minshuku was spotlessly clean, and the meals were fantastic. I hope they get to see this review. Because of Mrs. Yamamoto's meal I gained a new appreciation for the plain white rice. Everything she makes elevates the rice. Even though it took an extra 40 minutes to hike to their place it was worth it in my opinion.

Wonderful experience and stayed!
My stay at Minshuku Yamamoto was an absolute delight. The ryokan is located in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by mountains and forests, offering a peaceful stay! The traditional Japanese accommodation was comfortable and cozy, and the meals were exceptional, featuring locally-sourced ingredients and expertly prepared traditional Japanese cuisine. Our host prepare some of the best japanese food we have had in Japan. She share with us during breakfast some of her homemade honey! It was so sweet and kind of her. Once again, what really stood out to me, however, was the warmth and hospitality of the owners, who went out of their way to make me feel welcome and at home. They were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering valuable insights into the local area and making sure that my stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. Overall, I would highly recommend Minshuku Yamamoto to anyone who is hiking the Kohechi trail or looking for a peaceful retreat in the heart of the Japanese countryside. It was a truly memorable experience that I will always treasure.

農家民宿山本への徒歩でのアクセス方法がサイトでは具体的に記載されていませんでした。当日、三浦口バス停から徒歩でバス道を行こうとすると、道路が通行止め（民宿のご主人に聞くと、３年前のがけ崩れで通行できず、車は迂回路で通行するとのこと）。やむなく、橋で対岸に渡ろうとしたとき、橋の欄干に「→民宿山本２ｋｍ」の表示があって、約３０分、歩行者のみが通れる古道のような道を通って民宿山本に到着しました。橋を渡ったところは、ちょうど伯母子岳登山口でした。サイトではバス停から民宿山本に電話して迎えに来てもらう方法は記載されていましたが、私のように徒歩で行く人もいると思うので、徒歩での行き方も記載して頂いた方がいいと思います。

Lovely place. I would definitly come back if I did the Kumano Kodo again. The reason I don't rate the location is that it seemed to be an unusual situation where the road had broken by flooding. Lot's of signs showing the direction if you want to walk, but I used the service of bein picked up and brought back on the route by car which was suberp. The hosts were so friendly and sweet.

Hosted by an elderly lady and her fire fighter warden husband, we enjoyed her sumptuous cooking and bubbling laughter. The place is quite far from the trailhead but they provide a pickup service without which you would have to walk an additional hour or more. We enjoyed our stay and wished we could stay longer.

Stay at a Japanese couple's home
Our host picked us up from the trail, without us even notifying her of our arriving time! Amazing! The couple is incredibly nice and Greta to have a chat with locals! We were the only guests, and had our own little house to sleep. Dinner was served in the couple's home and they were very happy to interact. Food was just amazing, as well as the lunchbox! Definitely recommended.

Of the 8 places I stayed during my Kumano Kodo trip, this was my favourite and it was all due to the amazing host Mrs Yamamoto was. She was waiting for me at the trail head to pick me up. She helped me re-arrange some of my schedule and accomodation, with the help of an electronic translator. She washed my clothes for me. She drove me to the bus stop to get to Koyasan. This was all and above the great standard I had already received in my other accomodations. Her care and attention as well as her friendly manner and always smiling laughing face will be one of the enduring treasured memories I will have of my trip.

Wonderful Hosts
This beautiful minshuku is several kilometres' hike from the Kohechi Trail but a phonecall from the local village will normally bring the owner out in his 4WD to collect you. Swollen river after an earlier storm meant he couldn't get to us so we had to find our own way instead. When we made it through, our hosts consoled us with a tray of cold beers and tea! Large and comfortable rooms in our farmhouse accommodation with fantastic dinner and breakfast featuring their homegrown rice, homegrown tea and locally-caught fish. Could easily have stayed for a couple more nights! Thank you.

Felt like being at my moms house
A highlight of of our trip. We arrived in the rain and the host was in the village to give us a ride. A wonderful woman, a wonderful cook and a wonderful host. Very good dinner
We were picked up at the Miura guchi bus stop along the Kohechi route and driven to Minshuku Yamamoto where we were given a scrappy room that was set up for one of us to sleep on a frame bed and the other on the floor. We had to rearrange the furniture so we could sleep together. All 9 people staying there had to take turns using one shower. The WiFi didn't work in our room. We could easily hold a conversation with the couple staying in the adjoining room, through the wall, but they were very quiet. Dinner was very good. At breakfast all the Japanese guests were served soft-boiled eggs. We were served over-cooked scrambled eggs without being asked our preference, which ticked me off because I prefer soft-boiled eggs. When we were driven back to the trailhead we were dropped off half a mile or so past where we'd been picked up, again without being asked our preference. They probably thought they were doing us a favour but, again, our preference wod have been to be dropped off where we were picked up.

The meals here were home cooked and some of the best we had in Japan. This is a cozy homestay style of accommodation, but the other guests were very interesting, and fun to socialize with.

Wonderful accommodation along the Kumano Kodo!
We loved staying at Minshuku Yamamoto! They were well-prepared for our arrival and met us at the trailhead to offer us a ride to the Minshuku. The guest room is beautiful and very comfortable. The meals were incredible- sourced from their extensive garden and local sources. The homegrown rice, yogurt, honey, and vegetables nourished us for our hiking experience and were delicious. We also enjoyed talking with the owners of Minshuku Yamamoto and seeing their beautiful home. We highly recommend this accommodation!

Amazing hospitality, beautiful house and delicious home-made food
The cottage is located in a small village just 2 km hike from the Kohechi route. The house has a warm atmosphere with beautiful garden. The host's home cooked meals are fresh and delicious. It is by far the best place I stayed during my Nakahechi and Kohechi hikes.

熊野古道小辺路徒歩旅行
小辺路徒歩旅行で、「農家民宿山本」に宿泊させて頂きました。当日、雨の中の徒歩旅行だったんですが、到着してすぐに入浴させて頂いたのが、とてもありがたかったです。農家民宿となっていますが、浴室、トイレ（ウォシュレット付き）、洗面所が新しく改装されていて、綺麗で清潔なので、びっくりしました。 私は、一人旅だったんですが、民宿のご夫妻と食事中、食後も、いろいろと歓談できたのが本当にいい旅の思い出になりました。もちろん、食事は美味しくて、完食です。 明日は、フランスからの観光客が宿泊されるとのことでした。きっと海外の方も日本の民宿の良さを堪能して、ますます日本のことを好きになってくれるんでしょうね！ これからも、心のこもったおもてなしをよろしくお願い致します。 どうもありがとうございました。 追記：立地が星×３だったのは、私が徒歩旅行で、民宿が小辺路から少し離れていた為の評価です。車での旅行なら、星５つです。

Best food we've had in Japan
We stayed at Yamamoto's on the second day of our Kohechi hike mid September. And this was easily the stay we've enjoyed the most in the Kumano area! The only drawback is the location, but that's no problem, because Mr. Yamamoto picked us up at the trail head and drove us there the next morning. We were very delayed because we had underestimated the that day's hike, but he still waited there for us, for which we still are very thankful. Just a few of the highlights: 1) The food! It was fantastic. We never would have expected this here, but it was the best we have had during our Japan trip. It tasted great, we tried many new things, and most of it was grown right there on the Yamamoto's farm. It's worth going there only for the food! 2) The house was a beautiful traditional Japanese house. It was clean and the facilities were great. 3) The Yamamoto's are super nice! Despite the language barrier, we had lots of fun that evening, and got a very interesting tour around their farm the next morning. So, if you're planning to do the Kohechi: Go stay at Yamamoto's. It's great!

The meals were terrific. She was excellent cook. If she figured her guest could not eat some type of foods, she was willing to fix something else that the guest could eat. The location was not close to the trail head, however, if we called for ride, they would come to pick us up right away. Also very flexible to drop us off at the trail head in the morning. Their service was excellent. They looked at the guests benefit and needs. Also they gave us the information as much as we needed, that helped us a lot to walk on trail. One missing was there was no Onsen in that area. But it was not the owners problem.

Nous avons passee une supere soiree. La patronne est venue nous chercher en voiture sur le chemin du komano kodo car elle habite a un peu plus de 20 minutes a pieds. La maison et la chambre etait nickel. Le repas juste fabuleux et la patronne adorable. Le lendemain elle nous a emmen? a Kawatsu en voiture pour prendre un bus pour hongu. Le top.

Lovely Minshuku, friendly owners and fantastic food
Once arriving in the area, the owners of the Minshuku pick you up and drive you to their lovely home in a beautiful area. The rooms are spacious and you get a great welcoming tea. There is no onsite onsen but the showers are nice and hot. Also the food is delicious- especially the homemade honey! Though there was a small language barrier the owners were so kind and friendly we were still able to communicate. A lovely night stay after a day of hiking.

離れの部屋でしたので、気兼ねなくのんびりと過ごすことができました。料理上手で夕食朝食とも品数も多く、山菜の天ぷら等美味しく頂きました。夜は星を眺め、朝は川べりを散歩したりとても快適でした。宿は古道歩きのルートからは遠いですが、送り迎えをしていただけるので全く不便はありませんでしたし、帰りは川津まで送っていただき大変ありがたかったです。

Outstanding minshuku
The minshuku is not so close to the Kohechi trail, but the friendly lady of the house comes to pick you up and drives you back the next day. The room is very big and clean, the bath is excellent and the food superb. The lady is very helpful, gives all the necessary information. In case of bad weather, like it was this time, she can drive you to the Kawatsu bus station from where you can get easily to Totsukawa or Hongu. I am very satisfied with this stay and want to come back once!!

Great experience
Very nice minshuku / homestay experience. Extremely friendly. Great food. This place deserves an award of some sort. Even though this Minshuku is not immediately on the Kohechi route, the owners very quickly picked me up from the pay phone in the village - less than 5min away. One suggestion would be to create a signposted walking trail from the Kohechi route (near the suspension bridge) to Minshuku Yamamoto. Topographic maps (via the ""Yamap"" app) show a trail from the suspension bridge along the southern side of the river to Uchino. Probably only a few kilometers away (and no shuttle would be needed).

Buenisima experiencia y magnificos anfitriones
We were very comfortable at the Minshuku Yamamoto. The marriage behaved great with us. Great experience sleeping in a traditional Japanese cottage, very comfortable. The food was amazing. I would definitely recommend this accommodation.

Super friendly farm stay
It was great to stay with such a friendly Japanese family after a long day walking. The house was nestled in a little valley and it was nice to wander around and see some rural Japanese life. The hostess was amazing and even drove some items we had left behind to our next accommodation for us!

My Favorite Lodging
I was traveling in Japan for five weeks, and this was my favorite place. Somehow the host knew when I was about to arrive, and she was waiting outside for me when I got there to welcome me to the house. It was a cool, rainy day, and she had warm tea waiting for me and a kotatsu to sit under. She was so friendly and patient. She took the time to talk with me even though my Japanese is pretty limited and really slowed down her Japanese to make sure I could understand her. The house is warm and cozy, and instead of yukata, she provides sweat pants and a sweat shirt. (There is a shower, but not a bath available.) I had dinner, breakfast, and a box lunch there. All were delicious. I think most of the ingredients are grown in their garden. The host was also willing to make me a special lunch box a bit smaller than the standard size because I felt like I wasn't able to eat the amount of food being served. The lunch box was also delicious. This Minshuku definitely has the atmosphere of someone's house, so you end up making friends with other travelers who are staying there as well since you eat meals in the same room but at different tables. But, the house was set up so I still felt like I had enough privacy. If I ever return to the Kohechi, I hope to stay here again!

何もかも満足！
ちょっとした気遣い・心遣いを感じられました。お風呂や洗面所には、シャンプー等選択できるように準備をされていました。お部屋も清潔感がありご夫婦のお人柄も素敵です。疲れた心身をいやしてくれる空間を作っていらっしゃいます。 初めてお邪魔する私たちを「親戚の家に遊びに来た」ように感じさせてくれました。三浦峠で膝を痛め、残る2つの峠越えを断念した時も、明日からの移動など一緒に考えてくれました。お陰様で峠越えはしなくとも、次の日からの旅も順調に進みました。 食事は事前に「野菜中心で」とお願いしていたため、細心のご配慮を頂きました。また、自分のお宅で栽培しているもので旅館のようなﾊﾞﾗﾝｽの良いまた、視覚でも楽しめるお食事を頂きました。何もかも大満足！ ご夫婦の笑顔やお話しも暖かく、見ず知らずの初対面の私たちを大きく受け入れてくださいました。短い時間でしたが、「とても素晴らしい出会いがあった」と思います。

Wonderful Hospitality!
Our host was waiting to pick us up at the end of the trail without us even having to look for the public phone. We were driven about 10 minutes to a quiet and pretty place. Staying in the heritage home of the owners, sharing their small but very clean bathroom facilities was trouble-free. The food was lovingly prepared and abundant. The room had good ventilation, and we enjoyed hearing the frogs croaking outside. Our hosts were quiet and considerate when required but also lively and engaged with those of us who spoke a little Japanese. This place was fun!

i think this was the highlight of our different accomodations, Mrs. & Mr. Yamamoto are so great hosts. Best food with fresh eggs from the chicken, honey from the own beans, bamboo, tea from the garden. Mrs. Yamamoto is a very good cooker and so nice & generous & lots of humour!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars
Minshuku Yamamoto was such a wonderful and memorable place to stay. It really brightened my hike to Kohechi. The owners were kind, funny, and generous people. We talked through their online translation tool. The wife had a great sense of humour. She asked me what it was like to hike by myself and whether I got lonely. I thought that was a very sweet question. The food was also absolutely delicious. Some of the best food I had on my trip. The owners make their own honey and tea leaves and grow their own vegetables and fruits. The food could not be fresher! The bath and shower were straightforward and nice. My room was huge and well maintained. It also had a kotatsu, which was wonderful in the colder weather. I would love to visit them again. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!

サービスを超えた優しさ親切心に触れ、心癒されました。 小辺路三浦口付近に宿泊施設が少なく、個人での申し込みみ困って熊野ツーリズムさんへお世話になったのですが、農家民宿？と少し気になっていたところでした。民家であることとご夫婦の人柄で初めて会った方とは思えない、心地よい距離感でした。十津川を愛し、大切にするため頑張っておられる姿にも感動しました。 夕方遅くなって、宿泊依頼の電話が入ったようで、私に気を使いながら、急ぎ準備をされ、車で迎えにも行っておられました。翌夕、その方と同宿で話を聞いたら、忘れていた山道具のストックを山本さんが次の宿まで届けてくださったとのこと、決して近い距離ではないのに・・・自分のことではないのですが、頭が下がりました。 お料理も心配りが感じられ、自家製蒟蒻に自家製ゆうべし等々美味しく頂きました。 実家に甘えているかのような民宿でした。
