This spacious private guesthouse features a fully equipped kitchen, comfortable living space, and modern Japanese conveniences. Your hosts, Fumi and her husband, who live next door, were both born and raised in nearby Nachi-Katsuura, and after 10 years working in local tourism, Fumi realized her lifelong dream of opening a guesthouse to share the place she loves with travelers from around the world. The atmosphere is open, friendly, down-to-earth, and the owners are a great insider source for local tips, secret spots, and recommendations that no guidebook can offer. Moss House is perfect for short or long stays in the Kumano region.
We also run Guesthouse Michi in Nachi, allowing us to support your Kumano journey from both the Nachi and Shingu areas. Whether you're starting your pilgrimage or taking a rest day, we're here to help make your experience unforgettable.
