Description
Historic Chikatsuyu Inn
NONAGASE GUEST HOUSE is a carefully refurbished historic and cultural building that was once the residence of the Nonagase family, an important samurai family in Wakayama. It is located just a 3-minute walk from Chikatsuyu-oji and the Chikatsuyu-oji bus stop. There are two Japanese-style rooms -- one with futons, the other with a double bed and air conditioning -- shared living room space and a shared garden house. On the grounds is a famous 270-year-old willow cherry tree that has been blooming since the feudal period in Japan, and a beer garden that is open to non-staying customers as well. The rooms and shared living space are relaxed and comfortable, perfect for a rest in Chikatsuyu before embarking on the Kumano Kodo.
◆ Shared Space Times ◆
The shared living room space and garden can only be used until 21:00 out of concern for guests who need to rest early for an early start on the Kumano Kodo the next day.
◆ Beer Garden Hours ◆

② 19:30~21:00(last order 20:30)

We sincerely apologize but children are unable to stay.

Type A Type B Type C Type D Type E Vegetarianism is not common in the Japanese countryside. Please double-check the Vegetarian Type which the service provider can accommodate to make sure that it meets your needs. Often being able to eat trace amounts of the ubiquitous Katsuo Dashi (fish stock) makes it easier to find options.
