Onsen Minshuku Boukai is a family run Japanese style guestroom in Shirahama Onsen within walking distance of the beautiful white sand beach Shirarahama. There are two buildings: main and annex, which both feature Japanese style guestrooms. There are two gender segregated communal hot spring baths. Meals feature fresh locally catch produce, most of which is done by the owner himself! Most of the vegetables come from their garden. His wife is called an Okami, or the chief female manager of the inn. This is a prestigious position with many duties. Her smile is contagious and is one of the most famous younger generation Okami in Japan!
