This hot spring has been famous since the 7th century when imperial empresses bathed in these historical waters. The onsen water quality is effective for beautifying the skin. FISH STOCK: Often being able to eat trace amounts of the ubiquitous Katsuo Dashi (fish stock) makes it easier to find vegetarian options.
GLUTEN: For those who are not intorelant to gluten or Celiac then choosing Gluten Free "With Miso and Soy Sauce" will increase your options.

Yanagiya is located on the south side of Kanayama Bay 10 minutes walk from Shirarahama beach. 3 minute walk to Saki-no-Yu onsen bath by the ocean.
Busses run daily from Kii-Tanabe station, Shirahama station, and Nanki-Shirahama airport.
