The Wakayama Marina City Hotel is a ocean front resort hotel inspired by Italian design. All guest rooms feature beautiful ocean views and the neighboring yacht club, home of the Japanese National Yacht Team. Special care was taken to get the best views possible from the restaurant (with floor to ceiling windows), and guests room: even the bathtubs were designed with views! Professional chefs serve original Italian dishes and sophisticated Japanese cuisine. The Caterina Café and Bakery serves up freshly baked bread and pastries. Nearby is the Kishu Kuroshio Onsen, perfect for a soothing soak, and the lively Kuroshio Market, and Porto Europa theme park.

The Daiwa Ryonet Hotel Wakayama is centrally located across from the Wakayama Castle. The spacious guestrooms offer panoramic vistas of the castle and surrounding city. The views of the evening light-up of the castle grounds is a highlight of a stay here. The Daiwa Ryonet is a national chain which aspires to add benefits and services designed from a guest’s point of view, such as free internet and a variety of pillows to choose from. Guestroom designs employ soft colors to create a bright, soothing atmosphere. The lower levels have shops, restaurants, bank, convenience store, and convention space. The JR Wakayama station is a short bus or taxi ride away and busses leave for, and arrive from, the Kansai International Airport in front of the hotel, making this an excellent base for visiting other parts of Wakayama.
Guests often gravitate to the terrace, with hammocks and lounge chairs to enjoy the views, and complimentary drinks (including wine!) to let the outside world melt away. All rooms have ocean views with names maritime themed such as Captain, Crew, etc. Meals are creative Mediterranean style made with local ingredients and served in the dining room. There is a small beach next to the accommodation with direct access on the lowest floor. Beach chairs and sea kayaks are for rent.
