Hamanoya Ryokan is a family-run business-type accommodation near Kii-Ichigi train station on route 42 in the middle of Shichirimihama.
The owner family has orange orchards inland. Overlooking the Pacific Ocean from there, you can see the lodging along the beautiful seashore, giving it the name "Hamanoya" which means "Beach House" in Japanese.
A cafe and a shared bath on the first floor. The Japanese and western style guest rooms are on the upper floors. The western rooms have ensuite bath and toilet.
The owner makes dishes with fresh fish from the near sea and fresh vegetables from his own field.

Mikan Hotel is part of a community-development project in a renovated nursery school in the small settlement of Oroshi along the Kumano Kodo. The facility is called “Mihama Local Labo” and is multi-use including a café (focused on local ingredients), working space, and seminar room in addition to the two rooms for lodging. One of its main goals is to attract and support new residence to the region.
There are two guestrooms, one with two bunk beds and one with futons on the floor. The shower and toilet facilities are shared.
