As Typhoon No. 25 is currently approaching Japan. Should it approach the Kumano Kodo area, there is a possibility of disruptions to transportation services in the region.

Our cancellation policy will be determined primarily based on the operational status of the JR Kinokuni Line (including the Limited Express Kuroshio).

Cancellation Policy

We will assess whether cancellation fees can be waived on a case-by-case basis if transportation services are suspended or if services arranged by our company become difficult or impossible to provide.

At this time, no official suspension of the Kinokuni Line (including the Limited Express Kuroshio) has been announced. Therefore, if you choose to cancel your reservation, our standard cancellation policy will apply.

If the suspension of the Kinokuni Line (including the Limited Express Kuroshio) is officially announced and we determine that it will have a significant impact on your travel plans, cancellation fees will be waived for eligible reservations.

Please note that if you choose to cancel your reservation before any service suspension is officially announced, your cancellation will be processed under the standard cancellation policy. In such cases, cancellation fees will not be refunded even if service suspensions are announced at a later date.

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate date changes for existing reservations at this time.

As this is a busy travel period and accommodations and other services have already been arranged, it is not possible for us to transfer reservations to alternative dates.

If you decide not to travel, your reservation will be subject to the cancellation policy outlined above.

We are unable to provide individual advice regarding whether you should continue or change your travel plans.

Q. Is it safe to walk the Kumano Kodo during or immediately after the typhoon?

A. We strongly recommend prioritizing your safety and avoiding walking during severe weather conditions.

Q. Will it be possible to walk the Kumano Kodo after the typhoon passes?

Trail conditions cannot be confirmed immediately after the typhoon.

It may take one to two days, or longer in some areas, for local authorities and communities to assess trail conditions and identify any damage such as fallen trees, landslides, or washouts.

If you choose to walk, please do so at your own discretion. If you encounter unsafe conditions, turn back immediately and prioritize your safety.
