Enjoy a delicious and satisfying lunch prepared especially for your day of walking on the Kumano Kodo.
Our deli-style lunch boxes feature a colorful selection of fresh vegetables and carefully prepared ingredients, making your lunchtime on the trail another enjoyable part of your Kumano Kodo journey.
Choose from a Japanese-style lunch box with rice or a Western-style lunch featuring hearty, generously filled sandwiches, according to your preference.
For those who would like to start walking early, your lunch can be delivered to your accommodation in the Hongu area by 7:30 AM. Simply pick it up at your accommodation and set off on your Kumano Kodo adventure!

Delivery is available to accommodations in:
- Hongu Onsen area, including Yunomine Onsen, Kawayu Onsen, and Watarase Onsen
- Accommodations in the Kumano Hongu Taisha area
Please note:
- Delivery is not available outside the areas listed above.
- This service is available only to guests staying at eligible accommodations in the Hongu area booked through the KUMANO TRAVEL reservation website.
- Delivery to private residences or accommodations not booked through KUMANO TRAVEL is not available.

Vegetarianism and gluten free foods are not common in the Japanese countryside. Please double-check the meal options that are possible with each service provider to make sure that it meets your needs.
FISH STOCK: Often being able to eat trace amounts of the ubiquitous Katsuo Dashi (fish stock) makes it easier to find vegetarian options.
GLUTEN: For those who are not intorelant to gluten or Celiac then choosing Gluten Free "With Miso and Soy Sauce" will increase your options.
NOTE: It is difficult and not culturally sensitive to change meal requests, or make new meal demands, onsite when you arrive at accommodations. Meal options must be confirmed during the reservation process and respected during your visit.
