Its a simple family owned hotel. Host was very hospitable and obliging. The grilled ayu fish was yummy.

立地
旧温泉街ではなく、少し離れたところにありましたが、龍神温泉街の元湯までマイクロバスで送り迎えしてくれるのでよかったです。ご主人は大変親切な方でした。

No more stress
Although I have been to a few hot springs in Taiwan, this is my first time visiting a hot spring in Japan and my experience here is much better. Despite not staying for long, I felt thoroughly relaxed and my stress went away. The location of the place was great, just opposite the bus stop so it is easy to get to. Also, the sign is prominent so you wouldn't miss the place. As my party arrived, we found the owner was expecting us and waited out in front for us, making us feel vey welcomed. He carried our heavy luggages and wiped it dry since it was raining that day. After showing us into our room , he brewed us some genmaicha annd served a delicious plum-flavored Japanese sweet. The guestroom was extremely clean and so well-maintained, everything looked new. My room comfortably accomodated two other family members and me. Situated along the river, the view was great and the sound of the river was rather therapeutic. The futons were big and comfortable so all of us had a good night's sleep, even though we had to wake up very early the next day. Dinner featured a wide array of dishes but it was delicious and we ate everything. The home-made plum wine was really nice. As we had a tight schedule, we had to set off early and planned to take the 6.24am bus to Kii-Tanabe Station. To accomodate us, they got up really early and prepared our breakfast for us by 5.30am. In general, meals had a delicious and warm home-made feel. The bath was clean and we were supplied with the usual amenities such as shampoo, conditioner and body wash, even facial lotion. The water temperature was comfortable, not too hot. As the water contained sodium bicarbonate instead of sulphur, there was no pungent smell. Great for people particular about smell. Overall, I had a great time and if I ever revisit the region I would come here again. Hopefully, I would be able to stay for longer.
