Amazing stay
Aki is an amazing host and even better chef. We had such a great stay with her! We felt more than welcome from the moment we checked in! Dinner was the most amazing meal I have ever had, it was incredibly delicious! And then the breakfast and lunchbox, just wow! Next time I come to this area I will make sure to stay at Hiyodori again!

Welcoming and cozy
Hiyodori was a welcoming guesthouse for us after a long walk, thanks to Aki, a wonderful, nice, attentive and very helpful host. We enjoyed a delicious dinner, not before relaxing at the terrace with some wonderful views of the mountains.

Super Informative Hosts
Aki & Tomo were extremely accommodating hosts. We especially liked the briefing that Aki provided on the tough walk ahead on Day 3, the longest on the Kumano Kudo circa 22km. Her information was excellent, for example on the last bus times. Our room was very comfortable with an ensuite toilet, although only one bath/shower room shared with a few other guests, but no issues. Meals were very good. Hiyodori is right on the trail at the end of Day 2. Thank you.

Great guesthouse and host
Thanks to Adi and Tommo for hosting us at Hiyodori. We received a very warm welcome and the accommodation and food was fantastic. Highly recommended.

Wonderful owner, she was so kind with me helping me with my travel plan, having great discussion on Japan. I really enjoyed that moment. I am so lucky to have staid in that beautiful house. Food was also delicious.

Very friendly, great location
We received a very friendly greeting from Aki at Hiyodori GH. The room was large with comfy beds and a nice quiet location right on the trail. The food was delicious and Aki gave us very good instructions on our departure and recommended time to leave in the morning etc. The bath and facilities were very clean and we had a lovely view out to the mountains from the common dining area. It was lovely to have a soak in the onsen bath after a full day hiking. Highly recommended!
