Fantastisch!!
Tijdens onze reis in Japan is dit het verblijf wat ons het meest is bijgebleven. Yuichi en zijn vrouw zijn uitzonderlijk lieve mensen die voor hun gasten klaarstaan. De woning is prachtig gerenoveerd en het originele karakter behouden. De maaltijden, koffie, thee, bier en rijst zijn allemaal lokale producten, waarmee de gemeenschap gesteund wordt. Wij verbleven 2 nachten dat voelde te kort, ik raad zeker meerdere nachten aan!

An amazing stay
Yuichi-san and Yuko-san were incredible hosts! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and appreciated how they went above and beyond with their hospitality. The BBQ dinner was so good and the breakfast and lunch boxes were varied and had some lovely and unexpected surprises in them. We would highly recommend their place to other hikers. We wish we could have stayed another night!

The absolute best!
Wow! What a fantastic experience with Yuichi and Yuko. They were the best hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and safe. Yuichi picked us up from Hongu in the pouring rain. Organized us to use the private onsen in Yunomine Onsen, took us back to Hongu the next day to make sure we got the correct bus, and even followed up with us to make sure our train was running from Kii-Katsuura in the rainy weather. What a great guy! We loved talking to him and staying in his beautiful house. If we ever get back to Japan we will definitely want to stay with him again!

What can I say… everything was absolutely exceptional! We were speechless at Yuichi and Yuko’s kindness and generosity. The location and the house were simply wonderful. The meals were refined and absolutely delicious. An extraordinary experience in every way. The best place we could have asked for to end our pilgrimage. Thank you, it was truly magnificent.

I loved it
A perfectly perfect place. I was positively surprised as I arrived, the place is a lot better and prettier than the pictures. Yuichi and his wonderful wife are fantastic hosts, I have nothing but praise and adoration for this place.

Stunning, Stylish, immersed in nature with beautiful hosts
We had an incredible stay at Guest House Modorizenoyado!! The restored farmhouse is incredibly stylish with attention to detail and we felt so blessed we had chosen to stay here for 2 nights (as one of our 'rest days') but to be honest, you could easily stay here for a week to relax, do small day hikes, and hang out in the local onsens. Mornings on the sunny balcony were pure bliss, listening to the birds and nearby river. Yuichi-san and Yuko-san were such warm and friendly hosts who were so generous with their time, driving us to the onsen (Watarase Onsen is not to be missed!!! It's incredible) and to the trail head on our last day. All of the food served is prepared by local providers (Bento boxes and hot pot).
