Little house on the mountain
Host picked us up from town and drove us up to the guest house. Very friendly and kind host ( I believe it's Naoko but I might be completely wrong). Guest house is very cozy with some cute artwork on the wall. Curry with deer meat was incredible and homey. Breakfast was light and energizing while lunch helped us keep moving over the last pass and down to Nachisan Falls. I would also go back to this town just to experience it all over again.

Amazing Valley
The accommodation was a little off the trail, but we were shuttled to and from the trail by the owner The accommodation is an amazing valley filled with streams and Greenfields backed by huge mountains

Peaceful, beautiful location
Our host Naoko picked us up from Koguchi village and drove us out to her beautiful home set in a valley looking up to the mountains. The property is set on a stream so it was lovely to finish the hike and soak our feet in the cool waters of the stream that ran through her property. The house was a traditional Japanese house which has renovated kitchen, bathroom and toilet and the onsen was beautiful to soak in. Meals were delicious with a simple venison curry for dinner and delicious English style breakfast. Naoko made our bento box for lunch which was very tasty also. Beautiful place and lovely host who made us feel right at home.

Great stay at Koguchi
Our host Naoko picked us up and dropped us off at the trail. Her house is located in a lovely village surrounded by mountains. The accomodations were comfortable and the food was very good. We are very happy with our stay.

Our host was very nice, she picked us promptly up from the market, gave us a tour of her house and cooked us a delicious meal. She was extremely helpful in trying to find us the best way to get to the next town.

The best homestay we have had in Japan!
This stay was fantastic! The house was beautiful in an amazing location. Our host, Noako-San was so friendly and welcoming. The food she prepared was delicious! Highly recommend this place.
