Comforting Place After a Rainy Day of Hike
I joked that all the days that we hiked to a Taisha were good weather, and all the days we don't were bad weather. The day we reached Koguchi Shizen-no-Ie was another raining day. We reached way earlier than the time I registered. But the host was there to welcome us and checked us in right away. We were able to take a long bath and shower and change into dry clothes. My husband and I had separate rooms since he was a very light sleeper. Our rooms' windows faced a Cherry tree which is in full blossom. It was wonderful to stay in the warm room and watch cherry blossom outside the window in the rainy weather. They also had free instant coffee for us to enjoy. The dinner and breakfast were canteen-style with interesting loud-speaker announcements to remind everyone it is time to eat. The food is actually plentiful and good quality. The set up of using school property for lodging makes this place a very unique experience that both my husband and I enjoyed. Oh, the lunch box with the Onigiri, Karaage and Katsu bites is also wonderful. Given its price, this place is well worth it.

お手頃な宿泊料からみると評価はもっと高いです。夕食でお寿司が出てくるとは思っておらず、嬉しかったです。お弁当もとても美味しく、ありがたくいただきました。スタッフの皆様の対応も良く、また必ず行きます。 エアコン使用量は100円ではなく、200円が妥当かと思いました。

Wall is so thin. i can hear every thing happen in next room / at the corridor Bathroom is very cold. Meals, location, reception is excellent. And i can buy instant noodle and beer at reception.

Une expérience unique
Après une bonne journée de marche, on aperçoit le toit de l'ancienne école depuis la route. Elle semble tout droit sortie d'un film de Miyazaki. Un bain chaud, une chambre confortable, une discussion stimulante avec les autres pèlerins autour d'un feu de camp puis d'un dîner réconfortant. Comme dans un rêve.
