Minshuku Huuhan was very welcoming and relaxed. Everything necessary was provided, while the atmosphere is very much minshuku, a mix of being in someone's home and an accommodation - in the best way. The meals were delicious and thoughtful.

Very pleased
The minshuku owners were very welcoming and helpful. The tatamiroom was very nice, simple and big. The view of the harbour was a joy. The minshuku itself was charmingly old with a nice ofuro and overall clean. And the evening meal and breakfast were really very delicious.

Incredibly friendly staff and beatiful location
We loved our stay in Minshuku Huuhan guesthouse. Generous portions of exquisite japanese food. Very cosy and friendly atmosphere. Owase was a beatiful coastal town, surrounded by mountains great for hiking. Our host drove us without extra cost to the trailhead, and gave us good explanations. We travelled with three children 8-10yrs and would recommend this for anyone interested in visiting a part of Japan outside the (foreign) tourist track.

A bit of a walk from the train station so recommend taking a taxi. The owners are very helpful and drove us to the station after our stay. Very clean and organised, with wonderful food and great views of the port from our room. It was a highlight being so close to the working port.

Enjoyable simple stay with good food
Simple clean room with view of the working harbor. Meals were very good especially all the fish dishes. A easy walk to and from rail station. We were offered a car ride to the station but enjoyed the walk.
