Good Location, short walk to entrance of Nachi Falls. Futons not laid. Food for 2nd dinner sitting was cold.

Comfortable lodging
Location is great and service is impeccable. I arrived at the lodging, fully drenched from a 7-hour hike in the rain, and I was fully taken care of from the hour of arrival with a dry towel and some newspaper bundle to aid with shoe drying. Everything was clearly explained and marked, and the staffs were just the loveliest. Meals are delicious. I didn’f manage to secure the room I wanted but that’s not an issue. Wish the hot spring is available in the morning, so that I can have a last soak before departing, but of course it’s understandable from a maintenance perspective. Nonetheless, don’t let this hinder you from booking this location!

A great end of our Kumano Kodo experience
We were warmly welcomed at Mitaki Sanso. It’s a very modest accommodation, but well maintained. The toilets are shared, but they are very clean and definitely not an issue. The onsen is quite small but charming, and the dinner was simple yet carefully prepared. The free ice cream after dinner was absolutely appreciated! The only downside is the lack of a place to hang and dry wet trekking gear.

Great Location
It is smacked right in Nachisan. Limited accommodation there so you actually have to pay a premium. We arrived on a rainy day and they took good care of us. Provided towels and warm tea at the reception. The room is a little small. The meals were great (bento boxes) and free ice cream at the reception. The staff were very friendly
