Best stay on the Kohechi!
Absolutely sublime and beautiful place to stay. Not contrived or touristy. Arrived after a long tough wet day, and we were welcomed like family members and quickly helped out of our wet gear and given a drying rack for room, which had a lovely heater!! Onsen was a welcome calm place, then dinner was a fabulous mix of vegetarian items. We joined the morning service for a few final moments of peace and calm before the long trek back to Osaka, and then onward to Narita. May absolutely favorite place of our whole trek and would like to return for several days.

Wonderful stay
We somehow expected simple and modest stay but had to met high-level reception with all amenities and morning ceremony.

Perfect authentic temple stay
We had a fantastic time at Nan in temple. Although the monks spoke little English they tries their best and managed to communicate with us. The meals were fabulous too, as were the baths. I would definitely stay here again!

absolute beauty
The temple is a gorgeous array of rooms giving on to beautifully tended gardens. The food was delicious. I loved the wooden bath with perfect water. A wonderful experience. Thank you very much!

A Wonderful and Peaceful Place!
We felt like royalty, as we had the guest wing to ourselves. The food and the location were excellent.
