Wonderful stay
The Ryokan is well located (bus stop is right at front) and staff are warm and helpful. Large clean tatami room with ensuite toilet. We really enjoyed our dinner and breakfast!

Restorative soak after a long day's hike
The small, private in-room onsen was a real treat after the longest day of the hike. We were served a delicious traditional kaiseki dinner in the room, and we bookended the meal with looooong soaks. Honestly, we showed up limping a bit, but the baths and the food restored us fully, and we hit the trail refreshed the next day. Worth mentioning that they did not offer a bento box for the next day's lunch, so its smart to plan for that. (We made good use of the convenience store at the trailhead.)

Atmospheric stay in an Onsen town
We enjoyed a two night stay at this charming ryokan. Don’t expect ‘new and shiny’, lean into the atmospheric delights of staying in a traditional ryokan, with deeply relaxing indoor and outdoor onsen baths, and a multi-course meal served in the comfort of your room complete with yukata robes - rolling on from dinner straight to bed punctuated by a bath in between was one of the great pleasures of the hike

Absolute perfection!
This stay was probably the highlight of our trip! From the second we checked in we were well taken care of, and after 26km of hiking that day the incredible 3-course meal and onsen soak were perfection! Would highly recommend a million times over! Thank you for the amazing stay!

Very traditional stay with private Onsen
Amazing accomodation with private Onsen. The meals were very elaborate and served in your room. If your after a very traditional Japanese experience, this is for you - but be prepared to be challenged with a wide variety of food.
