Interesting Ryokan Experience
This was our first experience of a traditional Japanese Inn. The rooms lack their own shower/bath, because the inn has both a private and a public onsen. This is traditional in ryokan, but was initially a surprise to us. The meals were elaborate multi-course traditional meals - both dinner and breakfast. An interesting experience.

Best stay on the kumano kodo
Loved my stay here! Considering is as expensive as the other lodgings, you get an incredible room, an incredible dinner which made me feel at a 5 star Michelin restaurant, and the amazing onsen. All the staff was incredibly nice and helpful

Awesome first Ryokan experience
In my itinerary, this was my first Ryokan experience, and it absolutely blew me away. I did not know much about ryokans and so everything from the yukatu, the onsen, the kaiseki meals blew me away. This was one of my favorite onsens (and I'd been to several)! The peach (or was it plum?) wine at dinner was great. And I was able to continue to travel alongside my new friend from the day before, Todd.

AMAZING!
We will reminisce about our stay at the amazing ryokan for the rest of our lives…. It was one of the highlights of our 5 week Japan trip. The employees were the friendliest, most helpful, and outright FUN of anywhere we stayed. A big thank you especially to San and Yo…we enjoyed you both very much! Don’t hesitate to book here. You will love it!

A place of solace
After a long 18-km hike, Ryokan Yunomineso was a place of solace, calm and elegance. The rooms are so comfortable and have a beautiful view of the mountains. The onsen baths were heavenly after the long trek. And the meals were delicious.

Good location
Nice ryokan close to Yunomine Onsen, accessible by bus. The private onsens are definitely a plus. Breakfast was not my favourite. Our room didn.t come with a private shower, had to shower at the onsen area. Personnel was really nice and helpful. They have Ta-Q-Bin service for transferring luggage which comes in very handy.

Great location, great facilities, unbelievable food
The location is great and walking distance from the onsen town. The facilities are very clean with entertainment area. The onsens are also very beautiful and well maintained. The food was - next level! No words - so so yummy and we felt very pampered when it came to food.
