Like stepping back in time (in a good way)
We described this place as getting to sleep in a museum exhibit. It's like stepping back in time into old Japan. The accommodation is stunning. The wrap around verandah. The step down kitchen. The details in the wood carvings. We were lucky enough to have an afternoon with a bit of drizzle here and looking out the wrap around verandah into the garden is core memories. The food was delivered without a hitch and was very nice. The mattresses were the most comfortable of our hike. This is the accommodation we took the most photos of.

Comfortable
Very large and comfortable accoms, washing machine, fully equipped kitchen. 3 bedrooms but we only used one. House is large and honesty a bit creepy at night. Check in is a bit weird but the video chat worked well. The lunch and dinner was nice but the breakfast was literally 6 bread rolls and butter. The town itself is very scenic and chill

Basic guest house accommodation
Simple and worked for us after our walk that day. The food was a little disappointing but the facilities were clean and well maintained.
