Relaxing Chikatsuyu Inn with Karaoke

Minpaku Matsuri is a charming guest house not far from the Kodo-Aruki-no-Sato Chikatsuyu rest area on Highway 311. The friendly owner takes pride in delicious meals cooked with local ingredients. The accommodation is perfect for a couple or small group walking the Kumano Kodo with two western-style rooms and futon bedding, and features karaoke in the dining area for an hourly fee, draft beer, and coffee, until 21:00. The small terrace is a great way to relax in the evening, and take in the natural mountain landscape. Maybe you can spot "Sora" the cat wandering the premises.

Busses run daily to Chikatsuyu from Kii-Tanabe Station, Shirahama, and Hongu.

● ~1 hour by bus from Kii-Tanabe Station (bus timetable #1)

● ~1 hour by bus from Hongu (bus timetable #2)

● ~5-minute walk from "Kodo-no-Aruki-no-Sato Chikatsuyu-oji 古道歩きの里ちかつゆ" bus stop back to the intersection and east along Highway 311.

■ By car

● ~1 hour from Hanwa Expressway, Nanki-Tanabe IC (in Tanabe city) or the Kisei Expressway, Kamitonda IC, take National Route 311.

● ~20 minutes from Hongu on Highway 311.

■ About 13 minutes on foot from Chikatsuyu Oji.
