We we met at the pickup point, taken to the grocery store, then dropped off at Nullm Sora rental house. It was late in the day, and we found that the small grocery store had a limited selection of food, but we managed to find something. The driver that picked us up showed us the inside of the house before he departed.

Nice place to experience the countryside in Japan
The house is very clean and the whole house, including the kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom are all very spacious. The host is very nice. It’s not centrally located, but we had the transportation provided by the host from and to the trekking route. We enjoyed that we had the whole house just for ourselves.

Nice but slightly spooky
This place did the job just fine for our needs, but is slightly tired around the edges and felt a bit spooky at night as it gets super dark and is quite out of the way. It could have been a bit cleaner but the bathroom was nice and the room, whilst feeling a bit spooky to fall asleep in, was very nice to wake up in. The driver who picked us up was very friendly and was kind to take us to the supermarket.

Beautiful japanese style house
Althought there are no meals, we were driven to the supermarket. The house had coffe and tea to offer, and the kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook a wonderful meal and beautiful plates to serve as well..I felt at home and enjoyed the evening. The nightime sounds of the forest is unbelievable. I slept like a baby

Comfortable lodging, Japanese-style, and considerate owner who offers lifts
Really appreciated the pick up and drop off from Takahara. Otherwise, it would have been tough to get to and from. It was also great that the owner suggested going to the mini-supermarket on the way to the lodging. Decent lodging. Appreciated the facilities, like the washing machine and the microwave.

Takahara
Cost for value wasn’t good since the place doesn’t offer any meal compared to the other locations where we payed a similar price. The place was far away and the following day we had to wait until 8:30 for the host to pick us up to take us to the trail route.

The location is remote without provision of meal. So, you have to cook by yourself. The mattress is thin and hard. Very difficult to sleep.

Very nice traditional Japanese house to stay at, a little out of the way but was peaceful and quiet. The drivers were awesome and very accommodating. The driver was waiting for us at the pick up location and stopped at a grocery store on the way to the house. The next morning, the driver took one of us to the bus stop. We had the whole house to ourselves so it was very private with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and large dining/living room area.

Nice and easy, just a bit far away.
I had no contact before the day, and the people at the info centre weren't able to help, so we were prepared to use the pay phone at the Takahara rest area. As I was about to call, a van shows up at 3pm to collect us! They seem to do the loop between the houses and the rest area between 3-5pm.
The driver took us to a supermarket to buy dinner and breakfast supplies. The house had a fully equipped kitchen (driver had photos of what’s available), so it was no problem to buy anything we wished and cook it ourselves.
We had the whole house to ourselves. Set in beautiful countryside with plum trees, it was so quiet and relaxing.
The next morning we were collected again and back to the supermarket to buy our lunch and snack supplies for the day.
So it was all very easy in the end! The drivers didn’t speak much English but easy to communicate.
It’s only a shame the houses are so far away from the trail.

Off the beaten track
It is a shame that no meals are offered as this accommodation is very isolated. Although our host kindly stopped at the nearest supermarket for us to get food for dinner and breakfast. He also very kindly dropped us off at a location convient for our onward journey.

Nice place
Nullm Dora was not my first choice because of no food offered. However, it is a very nice place with a great mixture of the cultures with Japanese's sleeping arrangement but European dining table. The kitchen was very well equipped and so we were able to make our own meals.

Surprisingly good stay
Need to prep own meal, some distance away from Takahara, middle in the farmland. However, the stay there were pleasantly good. I was worried on the need to make phone call to get the shuttle to pick us up. When we arrived Takahara, the shuttle was there waiting. He dropped us for groceries pick up on the way to the homestay. We had the entire house for ourselves. :)

Sweet little guest house
This was a lovely little guest house. We stayed our first night on the walk. The host picked us up from the bus stop in Takahara and drove us back in the morning. I was worried that is was farther away from the trail but it was SO easy, clean, and comfortable. We were 4 people but it could easily fit 6. Cooked a lovely meal, they drove us to the grocery store on the way from the bus stop.

Charming mountain cottage
Beautiful location overlooking the valley. Swimming in the local river was wonderful after a long day travelling. The owner kindly collected us from the bus stop and took us to a local shop to buy a picnic dinner and breakfast which we ate outside to enjoy the evening breeze and view. Bath products provided and possible to cook if you bring ingredients. We froze water for the next day.

The property overall was well presented, and everything looked clean and tidy. However the kitchen and bathroom needed a really good clean, especially around the taps on sinks. Lots of grime round the base. Looked like hand basin in bathroom had not been cleaned since last guest/s. Same in kitchen area. Benchtop needed a really good wipe, and grime round base of sink taps. Otherwise owner there to pick me up at nominated time, offered supermarket stop en route, and pickup in morning well organised. Kitchen adequately equipped.

Nullm Sora- would stay again
The guest house was a bit out of the way, and added time but the service was wonderful- used the parking lot pay phone and we were picked up, brought to the grocery store before being dropped off. Grocery store has easy to grab /heat up items if you don’t feel like cooking. At first we were a little bummed of not having a meal experience, but on the day it was nice for us to just hang out solo. I would recommend to friends and stay again!

Our shuttle drivers were so nice and took us shopping for groceries . Thank you also to the luggage shuttle service .

Nice bungalow too far from Takahara
The bungalow is pretty but located far from Takahara (actually in Tsukiji which is absurd), even though we stop at a supermarket to buy food prior to entering the house, given the price paid it would be much nicer to get a dinner option.

Beauiful mountion home
It is a beautiful mountain home. The driver will take you to a grocery store to shop for dinner, breakfast, and lunch for the next hike. I was hiking solo and wished that I had my companion to enjoy the solitude and a nice facility together. It's a bit much for one person.

Good shuttle service and location
This rental house is located in the center of farmland, but it is next to the major road which leads to the major attractions. We were picked up from Takahara on the arrival date, we called the rental house from a paid phone at the rest area and the shuttle arrived within 15 mins. The pickup time need to be confirmed at the time of reservation.
There was no meal plan available during our stay, but they drove us to the grocery store on the way to the rental house. The kitchen has all the hardware for us to cook a nice meal. The house is surrounding by farmland and other farm houses, the view is beautiful especially in the morning. We enjoyed our stay very much and the shuttle transfer is excellent.
