We we met at the pickup point, taken to the grocery store, then dropped off at Nullm Sora rental house. It was late in the day, and we found that the small grocery store had a limited selection of food, but we managed to find something. The driver that picked us up showed us the inside of the house before he departed.

Nice place to experience the countryside in Japan
The house is very clean and the whole house, including the kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom are all very spacious. The host is very nice. It’s not centrally located, but we had the transportation provided by the host from and to the trekking route. We enjoyed that we had the whole house just for ourselves.

Nice but slightly spooky
This place did the job just fine for our needs, but is slightly tired around the edges and felt a bit spooky at night as it gets super dark and is quite out of the way. It could have been a bit cleaner but the bathroom was nice and the room, whilst feeling a bit spooky to fall asleep in, was very nice to wake up in. The driver who picked us up was very friendly and was kind to take us to the supermarket.

Beautiful japanese style house
Althought there are no meals, we were driven to the supermarket. The house had coffe and tea to offer, and the kitchen is perfectly equipped to cook a wonderful meal and beautiful plates to serve as well..I felt at home and enjoyed the evening. The nightime sounds of the forest is unbelievable. I slept like a baby

Comfortable lodging, Japanese-style, and considerate owner who offers lifts
Really appreciated the pick up and drop off from Takahara. Otherwise, it would have been tough to get to and from. It was also great that the owner suggested going to the mini-supermarket on the way to the lodging. Decent lodging. Appreciated the facilities, like the washing machine and the microwave.

Cost for value wasn’t good since the place doesn’t offer any meal compared to the other locations where we payed a similar price. The place was far away and the following day we had to wait until 8:30 for the host to pick us up to take us to the trail route.

Take it, only when you have no other choice
The location is remote without provision of meal. So, you have to cook by yourself. The mattress is thin and hard. Very difficult to sleep.

Very nice traditional Japanese house to stay at, a little out of the way but was peaceful and quiet. The drivers were awesome and very accommodating. The driver was waiting for us at the pick up location and stopped at a grocery store on the way to the house. The next morning, the driver took one of us to the bus stop. We had the whole house to ourselves so it was very private with 2 bedrooms, kitchen and large dining/living room area.
