Whole spacious house in countryside.
A driver picked us up from the rest stop and drove us first to a market to pick up supplies for dinner, breakfast and lunch. The house was clean and spacious. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware and dishes. The location was peaceful but remote so make sure you get all the food you'll need from the market stop. We stayed in November so it was cold. There are heaters in the bedroom and living room only so the other rooms are quite cool. There was a nice sitting area in the yard that would be wonderful in the warmer months. The driver picked us up the next morning to drive us back to the rest stop but due to an injury we decided we wanted to take a bus to Chikatsuyu instead of walking. He drove us to the bus stop but because it was at the end of the season, we couldn't figure out if the bus was still running as scheduled. The driver didn't leave us stranded but drove us to Chikatsuyu himself. We really appreciated his patience and kindness. Service above and beyond.

A highlight
We were not expecting this accomodation to be the highlight that it was. Beautiful spot. It was truly lovely to sit outside and have a quiet dinner after our first day of hiking. Shuttle was easy to use as the payphone is at the rest area. Do not fret about food as the manager/shuttle driver offers to stop
at the supermarket. Supermarket had everything we needed for dinner, breakfast and lunch the next day. It was a great experience.

Awesome, quiet spot just outside Takahara
Beautiful quiet authentic Japanese house.
Meals weren’t chosen, so the trip to the grocery store was very much appreciated. The driver however seemed rushed, perhaps because he had another pickup to make. We felt bad taking our time in the grocery store, but it was kind of him to take us there in the first place. The shuttle back to the trail the next morning was perfectly on time!

A Cozy House Tucked Away in a Quiet Area
The host picked us up at the Rest area and drove us to A-Coop Supermarket to buy groceries. He is courteous, friendly, and very helpful. He even went out of his way to take us to a place to buy rice. When we arrived at Nullm Kaze, he took time to show us how to work the stove and washer/dryer. The place is spacious and comfortably fit our group of 9 people. There are 2 bathrooms, 2 sinks and a large bath/shower area that made it convenient for all of us to get ready with very minimal wait time. There is also a garden area with table and benches that we hung out at night and watched the stars. Our host promptly picked us up the next morning to take us back to the Rest area so we could pick up the trail and proceed with our walk. We are very pleased with the Nullm Kaze Rental House and highly recommend it especially for a large group.

My dream Japanese house in the countryside
Even when we arrived late to the pickup place, our driver very kindly waited for us and took us to the grocery store before taking us to the house. The house was gorgeous, a huge space with a very nice garden.

Nullm Kaze rental house
We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed staying here. The entire house was ours without any other guests or hosts. The driver who picked us up in Takahara brought us to a supermarket where we were able to purchase delicious items for dinner and breakfast. The house is spacious and clean. We would highly recommend this accomodation.

We got the whole rooms ourselves. The space is spacious and big, cozy and clean. Location is far, but they did provide transportation service which is a bonus point. No meal provided but this is not a issue as there's kitchen, and they will stop by a supermarket for you to buy for ingredients or grocery.
Only thing to complain is the electricity supply. The electric power was tripped off. We trying to contact the owner and it's unreachable as they not logged in to the messenger account.

A lovely stay
We had an easy and wonderful stay at NULLM Kaze guest house. We called for a pick up and in 20 minutes someone arrived to take us from the rest stop at the end of the hike to the guest house. Along the way, we stopped in a large grocery store so we could pick up food for dinner and breakfast since meals are not included. The next morning they picked us up and took us back to the trail. The guest house is spacious and comfortable and located in a beautiful spot. We really enjoyed out stay.

Great stay for one night
The accommodation is located a bit outside Takahara but it was not a problem at all. We phoned the host as per the instructions on Kumano Travel and they picked us up in a matter of few minutes, dropping us at a local supermarket to buy food since there are no meals included here. They came back in the morning to bring us back at the start of the trail. All was good and super efficient!

This is a nice house - although no food was available. The driver took us to the supermarket and we bought stuff for dinner, breakfast and lunch and it all worked out. If possible, it would be good to have a sign on the pick up car because it was only because I was asking a guy if he knew about Nullm, that he said he was supposed to pick us up.

Beautiful house in a village off the beaten track
As all accomodations closer to Takahare were booked this house was recommended by the Kumano Travel staff and it was a nice experience. The transfer worked perfectly and the house is very spacious and quietly in a small village. The nice driver stopped at a market to buy some food. Beautiful rice fields close by.

Big spacious rental house perfect for a relaxing and comfortable stay

Lots of space and quiet
The kumano travel voucher had a different phone number for the house owners so we had trouble getting in touch at first, but kumano travel called me and we figured it out. They were very kind and offered to drive us a to a grocery store to get food. It would have been nice to know about that option in advance because we bought our dinner at a convenience store in Tanabe. However, overall, this was an awesome place to stay and the owners made it very easy.

We loved staying at the Nuruminole Rental House - it was spacious and beautiful, and we appreciated being able to stay in a traditional farmhouse. Authentic and Serene Stay at Nuruminoie Rental House
I had an amazing experience staying at Nuruminoie Rental House during my trek in Japan. The host went above and beyond by driving us to the trailhead, even offering to stop for groceries along the way, which was incredibly convenient. A Gorgeous Place to Unwind
Our host was very generous and kind. He collected us from the track head and then took us to the local supermarket so we could buy some meals for dinner and for the next days lunch. The house is AMAZING! It was such a treat to enjoy a lovely warm bath and curl up on the couch to read and relax after our first day's walk. Super comfortable and plenty of room (it is an entire house!!). There were beautiful views from overlooking the river below. I would love to come back here to stay on a holiday (not just one night on a trek). What a fabulous place to stay! Thank you!

Excellent Accommodation
It felt like someone's own private house. Very comfortable and very spacious. There were just 3 of us staying there but there was so much room. There was a Kokatsu Table (with a heated blanket) which got lots of use! The views from with windows of the surrounding rural village and mountains were amazing. It was very wet when we were there so we didn't get to spend time outside on the garden terrace. Dinner, lunchbox etc. wasn't provided, but we were taken by the owner to a supermarket on the way to collect what we needed for dinner and the next day. Apparently Paradise Cafe was closed when we passed through. Although it was off the main route, it was great to see another part of the region. Our host was very quick to collect us and arrived promptly the next morning to take us back to Takahara. We loved this spot.

Even though the accommodation was a little away from our walk area, the host kindly picked us up within 15 mins of us calling him (and he took us to the supermarket for supplies). We had the whole house to ourselves, which was great. It had all amenities required plus some….it was warm and cosy, and very quiet. The host returned us to our walking trail next morning. Would highly recommend.

This home was huge and beautiful and in a beautiful spot! It is not very close to the Kumano Kodo though. We thoroughly enjoyed our luxurious stay here. The only problem was getting there. We tried calling for a shuttle from the rest area as we were instructed, but there was no answer. With the help of some friendly other people who happened to ask us if we needed help, they were eventually able to get ahold of the host and he quickly came to pick us up. It was nice that he was also able to stop at the grocery store for us. Return trip to the trail the next day was no problem.

Amazing place
We chose this place because we couldn't find anything in Takahara and are so glad we did. It is a lovely Japanese style house with large rooms and very modern. Our host picked us up and dropped us off the next morning at the trailhead in Takahara. He lives a short distance away and cooked and delivered an excellent multi-course dinner and also a good breakfast in the morning at the time we requested. We also were able to use washing machine to do laundry.

Quiet location away from the crowd
This rental house stands out for its location, quiet and secluded. We found the operator very good in the services provided including pick-up/drop-off, explanation of amenities and meals.
Effectively we got the entire house to our own. There are two toilets and a bath room. The rather big sleeping quarter can be converted to 2 rooms with a partition separating the two. There's heating in the lounge and in the sleeping quarter itself.

Beautiful house
We loved the Nuruminoie House. It is a beautiful, open concept house that we had all to ourselves. The place is immaculate. While the house is a few minutes away from Takahara, transportation was easily arranged by calling the host, who also stopped at the grocery store, in case we needed extra supplies. Meals were served at the house and were very good.

The perfect place
It was a surprise the place and the owner. We loved it and him. The place is a marvelous place and we would love to stay there forever!

Excellent guestroom and 5-star service
The owner managed to meet with us at the meeting point right on time and drove us the guesthouse. The house is very nice, clean, and beautiful and in a very quiet place.
