Incredible house!
The service of pick-up at Takahara is nice and smooth, and the people who pick up us was really nice, despite they don't speak english. The stop at the supermarket was perfect. But... the house!! It is incredible, really beautiful and can accomodate at least 6 people! For the two of us was so big! The pick-up next day to the Kumano Kodo the same, really nice. We recommand A LOT this house!

a beautiful house
A nice, comfortable house, quite a distance from the trail, but the driver who picked us up took us grocery shopping before heading to the house. He explained everything about the house very clearly. However, the next morning, the other driver was supposed to take us to buy supplies for our picnic, but he didn’t. What’s more, he arrived to pick us up well before the agreed time and walked into every room while we were still getting ready—it was really disruptive.

Spacious, comfortable house. Fully equipped kitchen, big dining with heater, 3 rooms for 7pax nicely separated for 3F, 1M1F, 2M , futons nicely laid. Lodge driver stopped at grocery shop for us to buy food for dinner and breakfast. We had a good hot-pot dinner and bread, toast for breakfast. Great accommodation for big group.

Although it took a 15 min car drive to get to the rental house, the staff member Iwamoto san had been very helpful. Really appreciated. - getting to the rest area in Takahara to pick us up promptly after our call - taking us to a convenient store to stock up the supplies - explaining details about how to use the property's electronic appliances and other facilities - showing some of us who didn't hike where to find the bus stop The property was clean and provided everything we needed. The environment was quiet and close to nature. A minor comment is the portion of the self cook dinner could be bigger. We supplemented the meal by adding snacks and veggies bought from the convenient store.

環境も快適で、設備も揃っていてとても良かったです。
高原休憩所からは少し距離がありますが、送迎サービスを提供してくださり、さらにスーパーへの買い出しが必要かどうかまで気にかけていただき、本当にありがたかったです。 室内の設備もとても充実しており、小分けの調味料まで揃っていて、自炊をする旅行者にとても優しい宿だと感じました。

Even though there is no meal plan included, the host took the time to take us to a nearby supermarket. He took us not only at pick up but also before the hike the following day. It was very kind and we felt very grateful. The stay was very nice and clean as well!
