Retreat luxury in a container box! A new take on a simple concept. These cottages offer a modern indoor space plus outdoor greenspaces to relax. The cozy rooms have a surprisingly open feeling with large windows and all of the amenities of an independent stay. SEN RETREAT CHIKATSUYU is located on Road 311 across from the local A-coop grocery store about 15 minutes walk from the Chikatsuyu-oji on the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage route. There are different size buildings: For 2 people, for 4 people (with private garden and rooftop area), and for 6 people with private garden. Other facilities include a pizza kiln and bonfire stand. There is a collection of all-you-can-drink local beverages in the refrigerator. Welcome!

Often being able to eat trace amounts of the ubiquitous Katsuo Dashi (fish stock) makes it easier to find options.

Busses run daily to Chikatsuyu from Kii-Tanabe Station, Shirahama and Hongu.
● ~1 hour by bus from Kii-Tanabe Station (bus timetable 1)
